Amigos de la comunidad #FullDeportes y lectores en general de la plataforma #Hive, hace un tiempo les publique un artículo de opinión donde plantee la interrogante que si la FIA debería reinventarse y estudiar sus reglas debido a las últimas polémicas suscitadas en la última temporada de la Fórmula 1, con las malas decisiones tomadas por los encargados de la Federación Internacional de Automovilismo (FIA). Ahora bien, el día de hoy les traigo mi opinión a este mismo hecho pero en el Rally Dakar de este año 2022, donde los comisarios se han visto envuelto en muchas polémicas por las controversiales decisiones tomadas en esta edición 44 de dicho evento. Anteriormente la FIA no tenía nada que ver con este evento, pero para esta temporada la ASO quienes es la organización de la competición y dicho ente llegaron a un acuerdo para que la máxima federación de automovilismo regulará el evento, tanto con las normales y las especificaciones de coches o motos de las diferentes categoría que forman parte de este evento.
Friends of the #FullDeportes community and readers in general of the #Hive platform, some time ago I published an opinion article where I raised the question of whether the FIA should reinvent itself and study its rules due to the latest controversies raised in the last season of Formula 1, with the bad decisions made by those in charge of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). Now, today I bring you my opinion to this same fact but in the Dakar Rally of this year 2022, where the stewards have been involved in many controversies for the controversial decisions taken in this 44th edition of the event. Previously the FIA had nothing to do with this event, but for this season the ASO who is the organizer of the competition and this entity reached an agreement so that the maximum motoring federation will regulate the event, both with the normal and the specifications of cars or motorcycles of the different categories that are part of this event.
Este año la federación tiene nuevo presidente, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, quien se desempeñaba como piloto de Rallies años atrás, además que es originario de los Emiratos Arabes Unidos, hecho del cual muchos fanáticos y personalidades de deporte motor no están de acuerdo y en lo personal pienso lo mismo, ya que el ente necesita una persona de mayor experiencia, para que así tomará las mejores decisiones posibles para mejorar el espectáculo en las diferentes categorías que integran el deporte motor mundial y las que forman parte del ente ya mencionado (FIA). Sabemos que el deporte es un negocio, más allá de lo deportivo lo cual está haciendo que no solo en el automovilismo sino que en el deporte en general, grupos multimillonarios estén comprando equipos relacionados al deportes y gastando una gran cantidad de dinero que no es permitido debido a un acuerdo financiero donde hay un límite de gasto que se puede realizar. Con todo esto les quiero decir, que ahora vale más el dinero o la influencia, que la experiencia o el conocimiento. Pero bueno, vamos dar un tiempo a ver qué pasa, esperemos que las cosas cambien, pero para bien o para mejor, ya que en los últimos años las categorías reguladas por la FIA han ido perdiendo interés entre los amantes del deporte motor.
This year the federation has a new president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who was a rally driver years ago, and who is originally from the United Arab Emirates, a fact that many fans and personalities of motorsport do not agree with and I personally think the same, as the body needs a more experienced person, so that he will make the best possible decisions to improve the show in the different categories that make up the world motorsport and those that are part of the aforementioned body (FIA). We know that the sport is a business, beyond the sport which is making that not only in motorsport but in sport in general, multimillionaire groups are buying teams related to sports and spending a lot of money that is not allowed due to a financial agreement where there is a limit of expenditure that can be made. With all this I want to say that money or influence is now worth more than experience or knowledge. But well, let's give some time to see what happens, let's hope that things change, but for better or for good, since in recent years the categories regulated by the FIA have been losing interest among motorsport lovers.
Ahora bien, centrándome en el Rally Dakar de este año, todo empezó mal desde el comienzo y es que en etapa 1 hubo polémica ya que muchos pilotos se perdieron el camino y se estuvieron quejando de la ruta, aunque no estoy seguro. Además que el piloto NASSER AL-ATTIYAH quien fue uno de los beneficiados de la primera etapa y de los muy poco que lograron acertar la ruta, habiendo ganado un tiempo considerable a que a falta de 4 días para que culmine el Rally aún se mantiene de líder, pero lo que muchos criticaron y en lo personal también, fue que en una etapa este piloto atropello a otro de la categorías de moto por cual se merecía una penalización, que incluso podía ser la descalificación, debido a que dicho piloto estaba enterado de lo sucedido y no se paró ayudar al conductor como suele suceder, más cuando incluso la organización devuelve el tiempo perdido, está establecido en el reglamento. Lo peor de todo es que en otra etapa el auto de Nasser tenía la caja negra desconectado, lo cual fue establecido para esta edición por la FIA para registrar datos importantes de los coches y así tener la información de la telemetría de los autos, donde el reglamento establece que si se desconecta dicha caja, esto acarrearía incluso una descalificación pero incluso no paso ninguno penalización, por lo cual muchos de los pilotos contrincante se han quejado de que están favoreciendo a dicho piloto.
Now, focusing on this year's Dakar Rally, everything started badly from the beginning and in stage 1 there was controversy because many pilots were lost the way and were complaining about the route, although I'm not sure. In addition to the pilot NASSER AL-ATTIYAH who was one of the beneficiaries of the first stage and of the very few who managed to get the route right, having gained considerable time that in the absence of 4 days to finish the Rally still remains the leader, but what many criticized and personally too, was that in one stage this pilot ran over another of the motorcycle categories for which he deserved a penalty, which could even be the disqualification, because the pilot was aware of what happened and did not stop to help the driver as it usually happens, even more when even the organization returns the lost time, it is established in the rules. Worst of all is that in another stage Nasser's car had the black box disconnected, which was established for this edition by the FIA to record important data from the cars and thus have the telemetry information of the cars, where the rules states that if the box is disconnected, this would even lead to a disqualification but even no penalty, so many of the drivers have complained that they are favoring the driver.

Pero las quejas no solo han sido referente al piloto antes mencionado, sino que van más allá, de problemas con la ruta y más que todo de quejas en la lista de salida para las etapas que han hecho que la FIA cambie hasta tres veces la forma en la cual se determina el arranque de cada uno de los pilotos, por lo cual me parece algo inaudito y que deja muy mal parada a la organización. No todos siempre vamos a estar de acuerdo con las cosas, con la forma de pensar o como se dan las cosas, pero si el reglamente está establecido creo que se debe respectar y si hay algún problema, pues para esto están las reuniones previas al evento, para revisar todo los detalles y porque no, buscar la opinión de los pilotos y equipos, creo que es una forma de evitar este tipo de cosas para el futura. El Rally Dakar era una de los eventos más esperados por los fanáticos, pero con lo sucedió esto año, ya se ha perdido mucha credibilidad, por lo cual espero que esto cambie para futuros eventos, no solo de Rallies Raid, sino del deporte motor en general, donde la FIA es el ente regulador.
But the complaints have not only been about the aforementioned pilot, but they go beyond that, about problems with the route and more than anything else about complaints about the start list for the stages that have made the FIA change up to three times the way in which the start of each one of the pilots is determined, which seems to me something unheard of and that leaves the organization in a very bad position. Not all of us are always going to agree with things, with the way of thinking or how things happen, but if the rules are established I think they should be respected and if there is a problem, this is what the pre-event meetings are for, to review all the details and why not, seek the opinion of the drivers and teams, I think it is a way to avoid this kind of thing for the future. The Dakar Rally was one of the most awaited events by the fans, but with what happened this year, it has already lost a lot of credibility, so I hope this will change for future events, not only Rally Raid, but motorsport in general, where the FIA is the regulator.
En fin, el deporte motor es maravilloso y creo que firmemente que es uno de los mejores entretenimiento que existe, ver a personas entregadas a lo que aman hacer y es que los deportivas a los pilotos de carreras son tan comprometidos que siempre tratan de hacer lo mejor, donde varios incluso anteponen lo deportivo y no el dinero, pero claro que no todo es así. La FIA necesita un cambio y urgente, esperemos que con el nuevo gobierno las cosas cambien para bien y se estudie la necesidad de realizar reformas al reglamento donde sea necesario, que este se aplique de la mejor manera, que los comisarios deportivos se apeguen a este y no que lo usen para su conveniencia. Otra de las cosas que no estoy totalmente de acuerdo es a los cambios realizados específicamente en el Rally Dakar, sé que siempre a veces se deben renovar las reglas para mejorar el espectáculo y que los fanáticos no se aburran de siempre lo mismo, pero si las cosas iban tan bien y las personas estaba contento con la mayoría de las cosas, creo que no a meritaba tantos cambios y más cuando van para retarle a la categoría. Veremos qué pasa y que noticias nos traen luego de terminada la competencia.
In short, motorsport is wonderful and I firmly believe that it is one of the best entertainment that exists, to see people dedicated to what they love to do and is that sports and racing drivers are so committed that always try to do their best, where several even put the sporting and not the money, but of course not everything is like that. The FIA needs a change and urgently, let's hope that with the new government things change for the better and they study the need to make reforms to the regulations where necessary, that this is applied in the best way, that the stewards adhere to this and not use it for their convenience. Another thing that I do not fully agree with is the changes made specifically in the Dakar Rally, I know that sometimes the rules should always be renewed to improve the show and that the fans do not get bored of always the same, but if things were going so well and people were happy with most of the things, I think it did not deserve so many changes and more when they go to challenge the category. We will see what happens and what news they bring us after the competition is over.

Hola amigo. Me encantó el análisis y comparto la opinión de que se ha perdido un poco la esencia del deporte por los patrocinios. Y entiendo que de eso viven, pero le quitan lo bonito y la competencia, experiencia y estrategias del equipo que demostraban quienes eran los mejores.
