La espera ha llegado a su fin y es que después de más de 3 meses este fin de semana próximo llega la temporada 2025 de la Fórmula 1 con el gran premio de Australia, una carrera que ya prevé lluvias ese día domingo. Desde principios de diciembre en Abu Dhabi no veíamos los 20 carros en pista y es que en este tiempo han cambiado muchas y sobre todo muchas caras. Personalmente creo que será un temporada muy dinámica ya que tenemos muchos pilotos nuevos, novatos que estoy seguro que lo primero que harán es demostrar el por qué fueron escogidos para pilotar estos monoplazas. Este dinamismo tiene que venir acompañado de más competitividad, esa que en las últimas temporadas puede que haya estado un poco ausente.
The wait has come to an end and after more than 3 months this coming weekend comes the 2025 Formula 1 season with the Australian Grand Prix, a race that is expected to rain on Sunday. Since early December in Abu Dhabi we did not see the 20 cars on track and in this time many and especially many faces have changed. Personally I think it will be a very dynamic season as we have many new drivers, rookies that I am sure that the first thing they will do is to show why they were chosen to drive these cars. Otras de las cosas que genera mucha expectación es que para el año que viene tendremos un onceavo equipo en la parrilla y es que Cadillac se une a la familia de la F1, finalmente. Pero, por qué esto impactaría en esta temporada? - pues porque esta gente estoy seguro que ya comenzó a sondear opciones de pilotos para que ocupen los dos asientos disponibles que tendrán. Muchos pilotos, novatos o no, saben que no tienen garantizados sus puestos para el año que viene por lo que esa necesidad de la que les hablé por demostrar y figurar será más evidente y más todavía con los ojeadores de Cadillac dando vueltas. Creería yo que ellos buscarán una opción americana por aquello de su marca dejando en el aire el segundo puesto.

Este 2025 llega con varios cambios. Uno de ellos es que ese punto que se daba por la vuelta rápida ya no existe. Según la FIA eso no aportaba mucho y si, puede que tengan razón. Muchas veces veíamos a equipos cambiar de gomas justo en la última vuelta para buscar ganar ese punto o para quitárselo a otro, puede que esto diera un poco más de "vistosidad" y rivalidad pero al final del día era algo insignificante, por lo menos para mi. Ver ese punto llevárselo un piloto que quedó de decimoctavo no tiene mucho sentido. Los carros ahora tendrán un peso máximo de 800 kg en vez de los 798 que eran antes pudiendo ser más si las temperaturas son muy altas y es que ahora también los equipos deberán de equipar un sistema de refrigeración extra en caso de que las temperaturas superen los 30 grados.

Pero creo que lo más significante es el tema del bendito alerón trasero. La distancia entre esas ranuras se redujeron más, quizás entre 2-3 mm. Todo esto por aquello que pasó en Bakú con McLaren y el tiempo absurdo que hicieron en aquella larga recta con el mini DRS que buscaron implementar burlando un poco las normas. Como dicen por ahí, hecha la ley hecha la trampa. Esto espero logre equilibrar un poco las velocidades ya que si, en esta zonas de DRS se veía mucha diferencia entre ciertos carros. Esto claro está también depende de otras cosas pero que todos estén en exactamente las mismas condiciones ya es un paso importante. Como lo dije en la publicación de la presentación de los nuevos monoplazas de los equipos, ojalá hallan todo lo posible para mejorar velocidad y rendimiento.

Ya hablando expresamente de los equipos en términos generales creo que lo que reina en este 2025 es la juventud. Todos los equipos tienen pilotos jóvenes y es que a pesar de ya no ser novatos como pudieran ser Norris, Piastri, Tsunoda, Stroll siguen siendo pilotos considerados de corta edad. Cosas interesantes que pudiéramos ver? - evidentemente el debut de Hamilton con Ferrari; la relación entre Verstappen y Lawson la cual creo que en algún momento de la temporada sacará chispas teniendo en cuenta lo volátiles que son ambos; me causa curiosidad el debut de Antonelli en Mercedes, de los jóvenes es posible que sea el que más expectativa genera y si, Bortoleto con Sauber quien también es sabido lo rápido que es.
Speaking specifically about the teams in general terms, I think that what reigns in this 2025 is youth. All the teams have young drivers and despite the fact that they are no longer rookies like Norris, Piastri, Tsunoda, Stroll, they are still considered young drivers. Red Bull por alguna razón no me genera mucha confianza esta temporada. Veremos.

Red Bull for some reason does not give me much confidence this season. We will see.

Esperando con ansias este primer gran premio y ver el de los equipos están parados. La prueba de fuego será la clasificación y carrera, como siempre en las prácticas se pueden guardan para la hora de la verdad. Creo que esté será el año de Ferrari y McLaren, con Mercedes muy cerca. Veremos Red Bull. Saludos!
Muchas expectativas hay por esta temporada. Opino lo mismo, Mclaren y Ferrari serán los grandes favoritos. Habrá que ver.

Creo que en el momento de la pole posición es que cada equipo sacará lo mejor de su, pienso que en los test cada quien se guardo lo suyo, veremos qué pasa el fin de semana. Logré leer que ahora serán dos paradas obligatorias
