Lo más llamativo del comienzo del partido es la formación, debido a que Ancelotti hace un cambio en la fórmula que ha implementado en tantos partidos, en esta ocasión, la formación original era un 4-4-2 que se transformó por muchos minutos en un 4-3-3, quizás un experimento ideado por el entrenador italiano, pero que tuvo que cambiar en el segundo tiempo.

El primer tiempo se tornó aburrido, el Real Madrid le concedió el dominio del balón al equipo del RB Leipzig, ordenándose ofensivamente y apostando por un contragolpe que pudo frenar muy bien el equipo alemán, el partido para los jugadores del Real Madrid necesitaba cambiar para ser más ofensivo debido a que el marcador 1-0 a favor es un resultado muy corto y estaba la posibilidad de que los alemanes remontaran la eliminatoria.
Valverde es un jugador vital para la táctica del Real Madrid, pero a diferencia de otros momentos esté hace una labor más silenciosa y quizás no tan espectacular ante la mirada del público, a pesar de ya centrarse en otra labor, pudo nuevamente ser carrilero y puede que tenga resultados, sin embargo, este partido o experimento demuestra que el Real Madrid juega mejor con más jugadores netamente ofensivos.
El medio campo de este primer tiempo se conformaba por Kroos, Camavinga y Tchouaméni, que recibían mucho apoyo tanto de Bellingham como de Valerde. Desde mi punto de vista y análisis de este primer tiempo, es Camavinga quien se encuentra en una posición incómoda para él, se percibe que el jugador se siente encerrado y con pocas alternativas debido a que se posicionaba por momentos muy cerca de sus compañeros, por lo que se percibía en ese momento que el cambio era por el jugador francés, lectura que coincide con la de Ancelotti para cambiar la táctica del segundo tiempo.

Ancelotti hace el cambio que se veía venir en el primer tiempo, Camavinga por Rodrygo, esto sin dudas equilibró el juego del equipo merengue, haciendo retroceder a Valverde a la posición acostumbrada en toda esta temporada. Pienso que el español tiene un mejor momento futbolístico que el brasileño en este momento, aunque es Ancelotti quien decidió. Y la verdad es que aunque Rodrygo no marcó gol (estuvo cerca), fue un cambio táctico importante para el desarrollo del partido.

El gol del brasileño vino luego de una estupenda combinación con Bellingham, el cual realizó un pase al espacio y luego de un disparo cruzado, el balón entra en la portería del equipo rival, sin embargo, la respuesta de los alemanes tardó tan solo tres minutos para hacer sentir en el arco del Real Madrid, un estupendo cabezazo en el área significó el empate que terminaría por ser el resultado definitivo para este partido.
