Aunque la campaña de béisbol profesional en Venezuela culminó los últimos días del mes de enero del presente año, el trabajo en las oficinas de las diferentes franquicias que hacen vida en la LVBP no han detenido su trabajo de cara a la próxima campaña, los Cardenales de Lara son los actuales subcampeones de la liga, pero para muchos fue una temporada de fracasos, porque este fue un equipo armado para ganar, pero se les presentó en el camino un conjunto de La Guaira inspirado que al final logro el título después de casi 40 años de total sequía, por tal motivo los movimientos dentro del equipo larense no se detienen y al parecer aún faltan muchísimos por ejecutarse, a nivel de los técnicos se han dado par de cambios, entran a las funciones técnicas Robert Pérez, que perteneció al equipo por más de tres décadas y es una de las leyendas de este conjunto, él va a asumir el cargo de coach de control de calidad, la otra incorporación es la de Luis Ugueto que también fue jugador de los Cardenales y en el 2021 se tituló como campeón en funciones de manager de los crepusculares, él será Coach de primera base.

No es nada fácil conformar a un equipo competitivo, para eso se necesita combinar varios factores y también se necesita dinero y tener piezas atractivas para realizar cambios con los demás equipos que están en la liga, digo dinero, porque es necesario para poder traer a importados de mayor calidad, y sin duda alguna los Cardenales de Lara deberían enfocarse en traer en su mayoría a lanzadores abridores, ya que los años al parecer han causado efectos en los brazos que venían haciendo esas funciones, Raúl Rivero, Néstor Molina y Williams Pérez han bajado su rendimiento y seguramente terminen saliendo de la rotación y quizás del equipo, en pitcheo Lara necesita 4 abridores que garanticen al menos 5 episodios y que por lo menos dos sean criollos, 2 relevistas intermedios, porque eso está muy escaso en la nómina crepuscular, en los episodios de cierre parecen estar estables.
Ofensivamente hablando los Cardenales carecen de un cuarto bate, el centro de la alineación está floja, no hay remolcadores natos que puedan empujar las carreras a la hora de la chiquita, esto lo podrían solucionar con algún importado, porque en el mercado de cambios no veo a jugadores de estas características disponibles, en mi opinión también necesitan a un jardinero que se pueda combinar con Gorkys Hernández y que sea capaz de robar bases, a nivel del infield Lara está muy sólido y creo que de esas pociones serán los peloteros que salgan mediante cambios, el cuadro de los pájaros rojos debería ser reconstruido con Ildemaro como líder absoluto e inamovible, en conclusión debe ser el pitcheo la prioridad de este equipo si quiere aspirar al campeonato.
