Se disputó los encuentros de ida por los cuartos de final de la UEFA Europa League; clubes de Italia, Inglaterra, Portugal, Francia y Alemania, son los participantes en esta fase en donde el favoritismo o la lógica puede ser el factor relevante para dar una noción sobre qué equipos podrán ser partes de la siguiente fase, pero justamente, en el encuentro que consideré como el más dispar, terminó siendo el más sorpresivo de todos.
En el estadio de Anfield, hogar del Liverpool FC, se disputó está primer encuentro contra el Atalanta por los cuartos de final de la Europa League; el equipo dirigido por Klopp venía de demostrar un poderío ofensivo en este torneo, al anotar hasta 11 goles a favor en la fase anterior, en cambio, su rival tuvo un difícil paso por los octavos de final al derrotar a un competitivo rival como fue el Sporting de Lisboa; estas características junto a la actualidad (me refiero a las posiciones) que de ambos equipos en sus respectivas ligas, me hizo pensar que el Liverpool tal vez tendría otra placentera eliminatoria; una opinión que subestimó al Atalanta, algo que como aficionado puedo permitir tener, pero creo que tanto Klopp como sus jugadores posiblemente también tuvieron esa misma sensación en contra su rival.

Desde hace ya varias semanas he estado siguiendo el desempeño del Liverpool en la Premier League y en dónde he señalado las deficiencias ofensivas en ciertos encuentros, justamente en el último episodio del Podcast "BEE FUTBOL" indique que desde mediados de febrero el equipo de Klopp no gana un encuentro por más de un gol de diferencia y esa falta de gol es lo que ha propinado resultados nada favorables que le ha costado quedar eliminados en la FA Cup y perder el liderato en Premier League; ahora, nuevamente los fallos en la definición le ha costado una sorpresiva derrota, una en que se pudo evitar si los delanteros del Liverpool se enfocaran en hacer bien su trabajo.
En este encuentro, el equipo de Klopp chutó hasta en 19 ocasiones de las cuales tan solo 5 tuvieron dirección al arco defendido por Musso, portero del Atalanta; esos cinco chutes de peligro fueron rechazados por el portero argentino el cual lo convirtió en un gran baluarte de la victoria de su equipo, pero volviendo a la ofensiva del Liverpool, que de tantas ocasiones, menos de la mitad tenga dirección al arco rival es una estadística lamentable y más aún cuando se compara con la del Atalanta que chutó 11 veces, de las cuales 7 tuvieron dirección al arco defendido por Kelleher quien atajó cuatro de esos chutes, pero lamentablemente recibió tres goles, de los cuales poco pudo hacer al no contar con el apoyo de sus compañeros de la línea defensiva.

Ahora, entre tantas sorpresas o mejor dicho después de sorprenderme (nuevamente) de todos los fallos del equipo inglés, no hay duda que lo grato fue ver el fútbol que practicó el Atalanta; para entrar en contexto, este club viene de una serie de derrotas, las últimas dos en condición de visitante tanto por la Copa de Italia como por la Serie A, pero para este encuentro supo cambiar la mentalidad y ser competitivo, no subestimar al rival ni mucho menos a ellos mismos y creo que ahí estuvo la clave aunque viendo las reacciones de quienes anotaron los tres goles, Scamacca y Pašalić, pude anotar su sorpresa y alegría por conseguir un resultado muy positivo para ellos y es que esos goles fue el broche de oro, la cereza en el tope de un gran pastel y es que el trabajo en equipo a la hora de defender, de presionar, de mostrar actitud al momento de atacar fue lo que hizo que este equipo obtuviera tan importante victoria, una que si repite este mismo papel en los 90 minutos restantes podrá nuevamente sorprender y convertirse en un duro rival al título, espero que nos brinda ambos equipos el próximo jueves.

Estoy muy de acuerdo con lo que dices; al romperse esa lógica y tener resultados sorpresivos como el de ayer en ese encuentro, es lo que hace mejor al fútbol.
Que encuentro tan electrizante, de verdad.
Aunque, los locales, mostraron debilidad al momento de marcar y comunicación entre defensores.
Los Italianos, fueron muy inteligentes y atacaron por los costados, es decir, a las espaldas de los zagueros centrales.

Exactamente, en especial por la zona izquierda en la defensa del Liverpool que sin importar que defensor estuviera ahí, de igual manera lo hizo mal, un desastre.
