Saludos comunidad de Hive y FullDeportes, les traigo una iniciativa que se me ocurrió presentarles debido a lo memorable y significativa que es para mí. Mis 3 deportistas afroamericanos favoritos. Hablar de ellos es sinónimo de ejemplo, lucha, actitud, constancia y mucha dedicación. Espero que se animen a continuar.
JACKIE ROBINSON
Jack Roosevelt Robinson, o simplemente Jackie Robinson, el eterno número 42, fue un pelotero de grandes ligas. El primero de color en jugar profesionalmente ese deporte, pero más allá de sus proezas en medio de una sociedad racista y violenta contra lo de su raza, fue un ejemplo de disciplina, constancia y de responsabilidad, pues sabía que sus actos permitirían la llegada de más jugadores de color o cerraría la puerta definitivamente para ellos.
Sus números con los Dodgers de Brooklyn fueron sorprendentes, novato del año en su debut en 1947 con 28 años de edad y fue líder en estafadas, campeón bate de la Liga Nacional con 342 de Average en 1949 y nuevamente líder en bases robadas, estuvo en 6 juegos de estrellas, jugó 6 series mundiales con Brooklyn y ganó la de 1955 a los Yankees de New York, dejando boquiabiertos con su desempeño a rivales de la talla de Casey Stengel, manager de los mulos en ese año, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Mickey Mantle y Phil Rizzuto, todos miembros del salón de la Fama de Coooerstown.

SERENA WILLIAMS
Hablar de Serena Williams es sinónimo de buena actitud y tremenda personalidad. Si hay alguna figura femenina en el deporte que sabe cómo cuidar su cuerpo y marcar sus propios estereotipos, esa es ella. Pero más allá de sus cualidades como persona, también se puede decir que ha dado el ejemplo de grandeza en el deporte, imponiendo récords de manera increíble.
De ella podemos decir que es una de las pocas personas que existen que han podido ganar todos los títulos de Grand Slam en un mismo año. En la actualidad tiene 23 G.S.
Sus innumerables trofeos, 4 medallas olímpicas y más, no se comparan con la hazaña lograda en 2017, y no sabemos si alguien más se atrevería a hacer algo así, en sus primeras semanas de embarazo, ganó el abierto de Australia 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Cambió su nombre a Muhammad Ali por su vinculación con el Islán y en rechazo al nombre esclavo de "Clay".
Fue un atleta, defensor de los derechos de los afroamericanos, enemigo del reclutamiento de hombres de color para la guerra de Vietnan.
Sus peleas fueron memorables, ganó 3 veces el Campeonato Lineal de Boxeo y fue el primer pugil en obtener 4 títulos mundiales.
