RE: This is not a platform that rewards AI s#!t

in Loving HIVE ❤2 months ago

Steven, perhaps, has better pastimes on his mind, but if we still think that AI will be used so that humans no longer need to work and can go float on some foreign baby blue waters somewhere, I fear we're deluding ourselves.

Fact is, who thinks AI should be used to do tedious chores and jobs so we can chill and enjoy life more are us, poor people who have no idea how to make and run an AI model and robots.

Those who know how to make, sell and get profit from AI want other things. Because it's easier, faster and more profitable creating an AI product that make "art" than to rethink the whole economic system to give money to people who are not working anymore because of AI replacing them. Oh wait, my bad, I mean REPLACING US, the poor people who can nothing against these giant corporations.

We have the (utopic) dream of AI doing our jobs. They have the (very realistic) dream of not paying us. Who's got the power to decide? To fight the decisional power of a couple of billionaires we need the power of 2 billions people. Why nobody's saying this?

Sort:

100%. Great summary of my feelings on this, as well. I tried not to go full-on into the despair spiral, but unfortunately, I see things the same. This AI doing our jobs so we can be free thing has seemed to me extremely unrealistic for years.

of course, now (for a little while, I think) there's a time where AI seems beneficial, easy to use and accessible to us all. Because otherwise it would be frightening enough to cause mass outrage, I think. But that is the way with most takeovers. We're your friends...until we're not.

Why nobody's saying this?

I think there are people, but they're being ridiculed and disregarded as extremist and conspiracy nuts.
