It was one fine Wednesday on the seventh of February 2024 when I learned on our group chat that there will be a Hive Onboarding Orientation that is gonna be held at Naga, Cebu City, Philippines.

I was so happy knowing that another Hive Onboarding Orientation will be done here in Cebu City which is convenient to where I currently am.

Since I have been sharing Hive to my closest friends and colleagues, I could not wait to let them join the orientation for them to be fully explained about Hive and this is the perfect event for them to join and participate. The planned Hive orientation will be held at Bible Baptist Church, Purok Ecology, West Poblacion, City of Naga, Philippines on the 10th Of February,2024.

I invited two friends of mine to join the Hive Onboarding Orientation and they accepted my invitation since they are interested as well in joining Hive. They share the same passion just like me, we love to do blogging, writing and take photos of everything. They will be joining me on the Hive Onboarding Orientation this February 10,2024.

To my surprise, sir @intoy.bugoy contacted me and asked if I could take part during the Hive Onboarding Orientation and he assigned me two things. (1) To do the PeakD Navigation and Blog Creation and (2) To discuss the Do's and Don'ts of Hive. I am not that tenured in the program but I believe I have already learned quite a lot of things since I have joined Hive Orientations previously headed by Sir @ybanezkim26 Ma'am @indayclara and Sir @intoy.bugoy and my onboarder @naymhapz . Also, will never say no to do whatever I could contribute to Hive. So why not? I will definitely do my best to share my knowledge to all the aspiring Hivers I will be meeting.

Fast forward :)

We started off at Cebu It Park Terminal to catch a bus going to Naga City. Our call time was 11:00 in the morning because the Hive Onboarding Orientation will begin at 1:00pm. The fare from Cebu IT Park Terminal to Naga City is ₱60.00.

The man in white is my good friend who just got off from work at 6am and joined us at 11am for the love of being able to know more about Hive and the eagerness to join the platform. I really appreciate all the effort my friend put into just to be able to join us today.

We arrived at Save More Naga and we rode an e-bicycle heading towards the venue.

With sir @intoy.bugoy and my friend with me, we got lost on our way to the venue and we had to contact our co-Hivers to ask the exact location.

And here we finally are at Bible Baptist Church at Purok Ecology, Naga City.

I am navigating sir @intoy.bugoy 's laptop while he is discussing in front. It made us so happy being able to see such a huge crowd which are potential Hivers.

Sir @intoy.bugoy is discussing the Hive basics on all the people who attended the Hive Onboarding Orientation.

Sir @intoy.bugoy discussed the Hive Ecosystem.

I then went in front to discuss and navigate the Peak D platform. As per the instructions given to me by sir @intoy.bugoy it is important for me to discuss the dos and don'ts of Hive. Highlighting the rules is crucial for newbies and those who aspire to take high risks. In my early stages, I too was constantly reminded about the dos and don'ts by my seniors. The rules and regulations in Hive are beneficial as they help you understand what actions to take and what to avoid.

It was then time for ma’am @chimegipamus to discuss how to make an introductory blog but we were all surprised when she had some games and prices after asking questions about anything related to Hive. It made the audience more alive and jollier.

Ma'am @chimegipamus ’ preparation of games and rewards for participants who answered questions led to a more enjoyable listening experience. The prospect of questions, answers, and rewards after the orientation also encouraged greater focus, resulting in a fun and informative session about the Hive.

Here are the snippets after the OCD Onboarding Orientation.

It's pretty exciting to see those eager faces of the young students who are joining us here in Hive. It's fascinating to witness their participation and excitement towards joining. I believe they are lucky enough to get to know Hive at such a young age. If only I had known about this platform earlier, I could have written so many blogs.

Thank you to my two friends whom I invited and really came. They are both so interested to know more about Hive and everything about it.

I had a productive day and found the orientation fulfilling. I'm excited to contribute to Hive and help change more lives in the future.

Today, we have come together with a shared love for blogging and writing. It's an undeniable passion that unites everyone present here. We are grateful for Hive and the people behind the OCD Onboarding program for their support, which is especially beneficial for new bloggers on the platform.

Following the pictorial, we enjoyed some snacks and then proceeded to head back home. We took the same jeepmey ride that we took when we went to Cebu IT Park, and before parting ways, we stopped at Buffalo Brad’s Cebu IT Park Branch to grab some early dinner.
