Who would have thought that our team here in North Cebu would grow? Before, we can be counting by fingers and now we're building a community of hive, leading to a world of Web 3!
It was when @restlessadvntr messaged me about the orientation that he invited few of his friends. It took a month or so to realize this orientation as this group consists of students and professionals. Been busy at work and school. I'm glad that I've finally fixed a schedule to this orientation so he can gather all his invites. The venue shouldered by Renzo and was held in their house too. Together with Ma'am @callmesmile and Ma'am @naymhapz, the orientation made possible with their expertise.
March 30, 2024- the Hive Orientation and OCD Onboarding Program has come! Our call time was 1PM, I was able to make it earlier since our house was just few steps from Renzo's house. The next who came was my invite (our student in Ilihan) and then followed by other bloggers with their invites too.
While waiting for others, Ma'am Smile set up her laptop to the monitor so we can start by 2 PM. Renzo's living room was perfect place for this orientation as we were comfortable. Renzo's mother greeted us with warmth smile as we entered on their home.
As soon as everyone settled down and felt at home. Mam Smile started the orientation with a radiant smile on her face that glittered inside the room.
Then, each of the attendees introduced themselves giving a sneak peek of their passions and hobbies. While one of them was @penflecto who's been in hive for almost six months already. Other newbies been rooting for him as he have earned a lot of knowledge and experience here in hive. He has a lot to share about this and that's why he has invited his friend who already joined here. Participants actively shared their passions in life as to what community they may fit in.
INTRODUCING HIVE TO EVERYONE
We, the onboarding team also gave a brief background of ourselves as to how long we've been in hive, our experiences and how grateful we are in this platform. Knowing that we are more advanced than those in Web 2. Attendees getting even curious about the Web 3 we have mentioned so Mam Smile commenced the orientation. She was just sitting and confidently delivered her topic. All of them listened well and started to form questions on their mind. However, even they attempt to ask questions yet it's been answered while the discussion was still ongoing.
PEAKD INTERFACE
The curiosity still in the four corners of the room as I explored the PeakD Interface. It's new to them the platform that's why the level of curiosity raised to level 100☺️. I can feel how eager and willing they were when I hopped to one button to another. When I touched the reward system in a blog. I returned the floor to Mam Smile as she's an expert to this kind of matter. Anyway, I didn't able to capture the moment but I guess they understood the system then.
Everyone was excited already making an introduction to hive! But wait! They should have to learn more of it. Mam Marfe was assigned to this topic and at the same time, it's an on the spot topic, hehehe. But anyway, are used to these topics from all of those past orientation that we had, we learned a lot from our mentors already. Other attendees jotted down those important matters in making an introduction as well as how to be curated, the Dos and Dont's and others.
After Mam Marfe discussed all her topic, Mam Smile took the floor as she continued about the OCD Onboarding Projects. I just realized how useful we are during this time. We give light to the newbies, guide them, serves as scaffold in reaching the highest point of their hive journey and teach them everything in the system.
Meanwhile, what struck me the most was this question. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF THE OCD ONBOARDING PROGRAM? I was asked by Mam Smile and was stammered however, I bravely spoke my experience of being in an Onboarding Program.
- The Onboarding Team will guide you.
- OCD is an instrument to help you grow in hive.
- Helps you establish your name in the system together with your cooperation.
- And lastly, attend hive orientations for better and deeper understanding about hive.
I believe everyone has the best experience today. Yet, it's been always the courtesy of our mentors who's been a big part of our hive journey since day one. To sir @ybanezkim26, miss @indayclara, and sir @intoy.bugoy, we missed you in every orientation that we have.
