Saludos, comunidad. Con mucho gusto me presento ante ustedes para compartir este proyecto innovador que espero me ayudará a responder muchas preguntas que llevo años haciéndome. Mi nombre es Pedro Leonardo González Silva.

Greetings, community. It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to you to share this innovative project that I hope will help me answer many questions that I have been asking myself for years. My name is Pedro Leonardo González Silva.
I live in Caracas, near the UCV. Apure Avenue, Murachi residences, PH, Valle Abajo. Metro Los Símbolos.
Nací en Caracas hace muchísimos años.
Aprendí inglés como autodidacta a partir de los 13 años. También hablo francés e italiano. Mi primer título universitario fue Bachelor of Science, estudié química y me introduje en el mundo de las computadoras. Eso fue en la universidad de Mississippi. Años después estudié Filosofía en la UCV, quizás mi verdadera vocación. Luego hice una maestría en inglés en la misma universidad. Empecé un doctorado en Historia, pero por circunstancias diversas está en suspenso por ahora. También he estudiado música y cine. Soy fotógrafo autodidacta, como casi todo el mundo hoy en día.
Paso mucho tiempo dedicado a la lectura, el cine (aunque hace años que no voy a un cine), la música e investigaciones variadas. También soy excursionista, me conozco casi todo el Waraira Repano. Me encanta viajar, aunque sea con la mente.
I was born in Caracas many, many years ago.
I learned English as an autodidact since I was 13 years old. I also speak French and Italian. My first college degree was Bachelor of Science, I studied chemistry and I was introduced to the world of computers. That was at the University of Mississippi. Years later I studied philosophy at UCV, perhaps my true vocation. Then I did a master's degree in English at the same university. I started a doctorate in History, but due to different circumstances it is on hold for now. I have also studied music and film. I am an amateur photographer, like almost everybody today.
I spend a lot of time devoted to reading, movies (although it's been years since I've been to a movie theater), music and various research. I am also a hiker, I know almost all of the Waraira Repano. I love to travel, even with my mind.
Mi infancia fue un poco difícil por mi gran introversión. Momentos felices intercalados con sensación de aislamiento. Sigo siendo un niño.
Mis padres eran pueblerinos que nunca se adaptaron bien a la ciudad. Mi hermano es matemático y ama la política. A veces comparto con mis sobrinos. Mi esposa es artista y educadora.
My childhood was a bit difficult because of my great introversion. Happy moments interspersed with feelings of isolation. I am still a child.
My parents were small-towners who never adapted well to the city. My brother is a mathematician and loves politics. I sometimes share with my nephews. My wife is an artist and educator.
Hice un poco de todo hasta que me encontré a mí mismo como maestro. Por años hice traducciones, primero de películas y videos, y luego de libros de arte. Todavía me mandan trabajos de algunas galerías y editoriales. Como maestro, empecé con el inglés, ahora tengo bastante experiencia en eso. Enseñé griego antiguo en un seminario. En Unearte estoy hace casi 10 años y he podido desarrollarme en áreas filosóficas como estética y crítica (no sólo) de arte. A los estudiantes de arte les encantan mis clases de inglés. También trabajo en un liceo, mostrándole a los jóvenes que no todos los profesores son carceleros frustrados. Es duro, pero me encanta.
Los viajes me fascinan. Estuve en Italia, Francia, Inglaterra y España. He viajado a Brasil y Colombia. Conozco una buena parte de mi país. Quisiera conocer México, Argentina e Islandia.
I did a little bit of everything until I found myself as a teacher. For years I made translations, of films and videos first, later of art books. Some art galleries and publishing houses still send me their texts. As a teacher, I started with English, now I have quite a bit of experience in that. I taught ancient Greek at a Catholic seminary. I've been at Unearte for almost 10 years and have been able to develop myself in philosophical areas such as aesthetics and theoretical criticism (not only of art). Art students love my English as well as my philosophy classes. I also work in a high school, showing young people that not all teachers are frustrated jailers. It's hard, but I love it.
I love to travel. I've been to Italy, France, England and Spain. I've traveled to Brazil and Colombia. I know a good part of my country. I would like to know Mexico, Argentina and Iceland.
Realmente espero que el mundo de las redes me ayudará a dar a conocer mi trabajo en áreas como la escritura, la fotografía y otros. Llevo un blog hace años, pero fuera de las grandes redes no llega más allá que a un puñado de estudiantes. Aquí estoy viendo compañeros de Unearte con los cuales espero hacer cosas creativas en comunidad. Es el mejor uso de las redes. Fuera de su lado tóxico.
I really hope that the networking world will help me make my work known in areas such as writing, photography and others. I have been running a blog for years, but being outside the major networks, it barely reaches a handful of students. Here I am seeing fellow Unearte members with whom I hope to do creative things in community. This is the best use of networks. Outside of their toxic side.
