Advance Happy New Year, my dear Hive Friends! How are you today? Hope everyone is fine! Just wanna say thanks to everyone who supported my previous blogs and to all who will take the time to read this post. I want to share with you now our first Hive Christmas Party at Sacaan Tropical Beach Resort located at Sitio Sacaan,Tabunok, Sogod, Cebu.
Planned for Hive Christmas Party
It was the month of November when Ma'am @indayclara planned for our first Hive Christmas Party, with the help of other onboarders and with the approval of Sir @ybanezkim26 and Sir @intoy.bugoy.
We were informed through our group chat that the Christmas Party will be held at Sacaan Tropical Beach Resort at Sacaan, Tabunok, Sogod, Cebu on December 26, 2023. Without a second thought, I decided to attend the said party with my Co-Hivers at Caduawan Elementary School.
She initiated through our group chat to write our name in the list of those who are interested. I thought December 26 was not a holiday so earlier I filed for forced leave on that day just to make sure I could attend that special event.
Different committees were organized by @indayclara and she asked anyone to bring any food or any dishes as additional food for lunch voluntarily. I volunteered to bring lechon chicken and so with the other Co-Hivers.
The Amazing Venue
Here comes the day we've been eagerly anticipating. We're thrilled to be heading to the venue, even though it's quite a distance from our home. We're excited to finally have the opportunity to meet with other Co-Hivers from other places for the very first time.

We started to travel from our home at 8:00 a.m. and arrived at 9:00 a.m.We traveled more or less 30 km to reach the venue. As we arrived at the entrance, I requested my daughter @lovelyclaire to take me a picture. Turning right on the entrance is the parking lot and on the left side, you can see a building where there are rooms to offer if you want to stay overnight.

Center Stage
At the center, we can find the stage. It is suitable for a big event because there's a wide space in front of the stage.
Then, we headed to the function room where our party was held. We had to pass the bar and at the same time the restaurant, and the swimming pool before we reached our designated area. I was so amazed by the attractive views around the swimming pool.

From the back view of the pool, we can see the full sea view. Standing there, we can breathe in the cool sea breeze.
At the Function Hall
As we arrived at the function hall where our party was being held, we noticed that the decoration committee was very busy with their task. We proceeded to the designated committee for attendance, where we wrote our names on the attendance sheet and were given name tags for our Hive account. The name tags had our code names written on the back, which would be revealed during the gift-giving ceremony.

While waiting for the others, I took the opportunity to capture some photos. The function hall is situated right by the seaside. A big thanks to @indayclara for selecting such an amazing location.
Looking at the photos taken, it seemed that the calm sea tempted us to swim and to feel its coldness.
The Hivers at their Hawaiian Look
The function hall was almost filled with the Hivers. Only a few of them have not yet arrived. I'm so glad to see many new faces and meet them personally.
The Program
One of the onboarders hosted the program, the pretty Ma'am @callmesmile.
The program began with a prayer on social media, followed by a Hawaiian Walk by the onboarders and the Hivers. Ma'am @indayclara was the first to show her graceful walk but I was not able to capture a photo for her due to my nervousness even in my daughter @lovelyclaire and my niece @apieceofgwyn who was the lucky winner for being the best in Hawaiian Attire. I initially thought I could excuse myself, but it turns out that no one was exempted. The host called me and to my surprise, I found myself walking into the hallway. I felt weightless as if I was floating at that moment.

I admired how gracefully Ma'am @dehai, Ma'am @indayclara.Sir, @ybanezkim26, and Sir @intoybugoy showcased their Hawaiian attire.
After the Hawaiian Walk, the host called Sir @ybanezkim26 for his words of welcome. He acknowledged the presence of all the attendees and he gave some words of encouragement to all of us. I appreciated the way he uttered his kind and motivational words.

Games
One of the exciting parts of the program is the game. Ma'am @heyitsjian and Ma'am @iamgagz09 were the initiators of the game. Many Hivers were so excited to play the game.
The function hall was filled with laughter during the game. Somebody cheered for every contestant.
@misbebeth was declared the winner of this game. She was awarded by Sir @ybanezkim26 a Hive T-shirt.

The other game was also exciting only one should declared as winner.
Ma'am @cheerfellll was declared as the winner. She was awarded by Ma'am @indayclara.
The Last Walk for the Nominees of Best Hawaiian Attire
"Wow! It was great! My very good friend, @missbebeth, was one of the nominees. I admired her courage for walking in her Hawaiian attire with so much confidence. Of course, my daughter, @lovelyclaire, and my niece, @apieceofgwyn, were also included in the nominees. I'm so proud of all of them. Ma'am @dehai and @momyjane were also among the nominees."
The Declaration of Winner
I'm so glad that my niece @apieceofgwyn was declared as winner. She was awarded by @indayclara a hive t-shirt. The nominees received chocolate as their consolation prize.
The Group Presentation
Another exciting number of the program was the group presentation. I was so nervous because we were not prepared for what we were going to present. We were assigned as group 4 so we were the last group to present.
Our group presentation should be presented after the lunch break.

We enjoyed our sumptuous lunch and were completely satisfied with the delicious food being catered.

Group 3 Presentation
I was not able to capture other group presentations but this group was declared as winner. With regards to our presentation, it was so funny. We were able to present twice because at first, we all had a mental block we forgot what song should be next to Yell. Thanks to God, I was able to recall it, hahaha! What a funny presentation!

Giving Gifts(Manita and Manito)
"The moment we had all been waiting for finally arrived - the reveal of our code names. As I looked at the back of my name tag, I saw that my code name was Queen Bee. I felt overjoyed as I received my gifts, which included a beautiful lunch bag and a towel. My wishes had been granted, thanks to my generous Manita.
It was my turn to give Singing Diva, my Manita, her gifts. I was surprised to know that Ma'am @callmesmile was the Singing Diva. I gave her a pair of hiking shoes and a knapsack.
We were all happy and contented with all the gifts we received. Ma'am @indayclara extended her gratitude to all who participated in the event and to those who sent their financial support.
We ended the party with a group picture.

While we were waiting for our driver to pick us up on our way back home, @indayclara kindly invited us to see the rooftop of the building with the permission of the resort staff. We were amazed by the stunning beauty of the resort from the top and had the opportunity to capture a picture. The view was breathtaking! I would like to express my gratitude to @indayclara for giving us this wonderful experience.
Our first Hive Christmas Party was so amazing. It was indeed a very successful event with the collaboration of everyone. The quality time we spent together was priceless. It's the genuine camaraderie that binds us together to make a whole.
Before ending this blog, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Ma'am @indayclara, Sir @ybanezkim26, and Sir @intoy.bugoy for their invaluable contributions to this event. We are forever grateful to you. Hope to have another Hive Christmas Party next year.
