I came to Hive in September 2021, without knowing about web3, without having recorded a video before, with very little knowledge about cryptocurrencies and with a strong rejection towards technology. Today, after two and a half years I have managed to fall in love with this world that I stumbled upon by chance and to celebrate the 4th anniversary of our blockchain, I share with you some of the lessons I have learned thanks to Hive and I invite you to share yours:

Llegué a web3 sin saber que había llegado a web3 😂 Siempre tuve amor por la escritura y cuando me presentaron Hive me pareció increíble poder escribir sobre mi día a día o cualquier tema interesante mientras obtenía ganancias por mi contenido. Sin darme cuenta había aprendido a manejar una wallet, la importancia de cuidar mis keys, manejo de criptomonedas, principios básicos de blockchain, etc. Hive es una manera muy amena de llegar a web3 para personas como yo que no tienen conocimientos previos, bien sea por sus redes sociales, por sus juegos NFT o cualquiera de sus herramientas.
Adoption is more enjoyable if you have fun in the process: I came to web3 without knowing I had come to web3 😂 I always had a love for writing and when I was introduced to Hive I found it amazing to be able to write about my day to day life or any interesting topic while earning money for my content. Without realizing it I had learned how to manage a wallet, the importance of taking care of my keys, cryptocurrency management, blockchain basics, etc. Hive is a very enjoyable way to get to web3 for people like me who have no previous knowledge, either by their social networks, by their NFT games or any of their tools.
2. Siempre puedes seguir conociendo nuevas pasiones:
Al llegar a Hive sentí las ganas de crear cada vez mejor contenido, esto me llevó a atreverme a hacer videos, aprender sobre edición, mejorar mis conocimientos sobre diseño y muchas otras cosas que posteriormente gracias a la constancia, dedicación y amor por lo que hacía, me llevaron a obtener el reconocimiento de la comunidad por mi contenido. Nunca me imaginé que terminaría creando contenido en web3 y mucho menos haciendo videos porque no había explorado esta parte de mi, así que hoy puedo agradecerle a Hive por haberme impulsado a explorar nuevas pasiones y a mejorar en ellas.
You can always keep learning new passions: When I arrived at Hive I felt the desire to create better and better content, this led me to dare to make videos, learn about editing, improve my knowledge about design and many other things that later thanks to the perseverance, dedication and love for what I was doing, led me to get recognition from the community for my content. I never imagined that I would end up creating content on web3 and much less making videos because I had not explored this part of me, so today I can thank Hive for having encouraged me to explore new passions and improve in them.
3. Puedes vivir de lo que amas hacer:
Siempre fui una persona muy entregada a lo que hace, pero no me había dado cuenta de que entregarle a algo el 100% de tu tiempo no significaba que realmente amaras lo que estabas haciendo. Antes de Hive tuve muchos trabajos que me agradaban y me ayudaron a adquirir experiencia en muchos ámbitos, pero a los meses de haber llegado a este mundo, me di cuenta de que era algo a lo que realmente quería dedicarle la mayoría de mi tiempo y gracias a los ingresos que obtenía por mi contenido, tomé la decisión de dejar el trabajo que tenía en ese momento y dedicarme de lleno a Hive. Fue una decisión que evalué mucho en su momento, no siempre es tan bonito como se lee, pero la libertad que tengo en este momento de mi vida hace que valga totalmente la pena.
You can make a living from what you love to do: I was always a very dedicated person, but I didn't realize that giving 100% of your time to something didn't mean that you really loved what you were doing. Before Hive I had many jobs that I liked and helped me gain experience in many areas, but a few months into this world, I realized that it was something I really wanted to dedicate most of my time to and thanks to the income I was getting for my content, I made the decision to leave the job I had at the time and dedicate myself fully to Hive. It was a decision that I evaluated a lot at the time, it's not always as nice as it reads, but the freedom I have at this point in my life makes it totally worth it.
4. Sin comunidad no hay nada:
Anteriormente valorábamos más el número de seguidores, pero hoy en día las reglas han cambiado. Nos empezamos a cuestionar si realmente hemos creado un lazo con todas esas personas que nos siguen, si les importas como ser humano, si disfrutan lo que creas y están dispuestos a apoyarte en cada paso que des en tu crecimiento. Esto ya no se trata de seguidores, se trata de comunidad y Hive me ha permitido conectar con personas increíbles alrededor del mundo que estoy segura de que van a estar allí para mi así como yo estaré para ellos. Mi comunidad me ha acompañado en mis momentos felices y en los no tan felices y muchos de ellos han salido de la virtualidad para convertirse en amigos de la vida real. A todos ustedes que me leen, gracias por estar ❤️
Without community there is nothing: In the past we valued more the number of followers, but nowadays the rules have changed. We start to question if we have really created a bond with all those people who follow us, if they care about you as a human being, if they enjoy what you create and are willing to support you in every step you take in your growth. This is no longer about followers, it's about community and Hive has allowed me to connect with amazing people around the world who I am sure will be there for me as I will be there for them. My community has been there for me in my happy and not so happy moments and many of them have left the virtual to become real life friends. To all of you who read me, thank you for being ❤️
5. Web3 es todo un universo de posibilidades:
Cada día sigo aprendiendo y cada vez me enamoro más de este mundo, pero me llegué a sentir incompleta porque a pesar de que trabajaba en algo que amaba hacer, estaba dejando de lado mi otra pasión, el mundo de la moda. Soy diseñadora de modas, llegué a tener mi propia marca de ropa hace unos 7 años y siempre fue mi meta poder retomar esto. Cuando llegué a Hive empecé a escribir sobre historia de la moda, pero no existía un nicho para este tema, posteriormente nace @hiveredcarpet, una comunidad para fashion lovers creada por fashion lovers, donde tengo la oportunidad de trabajar junto a un equipo hermoso de mujeres increíbles quienes llevamos a cabo el primer concurso de moda realizado en blockchain con más de 50 participantes. También descubrí que la tecnología disruptiva está revolucionando el mundo de la moda, esto me llevó a interesarme por la inteligencia artificial, el metaverso, los NFTs y encontrar la manera de combinar todo lo que estaba aprendiendo con mi visión de la moda. Actualmente estoy trabajando en un proyecto de moda que combina la realidad con la virtualidad y no puedo sentirme más emocionado por lo que estoy creando. I could go on for hours writing about all the lessons I have learned thanks to Hive during these last years, but I think 5 is a good number 😂 Without romanticizing, I think Hive has changed the lives of many people around the world either by improving their economy, facilitating payments and transactions thanks to its technology, allowing them to create a blockchain project, supporting them in a social situation such as the construction of water wells in Ghana or helping them in difficult times related to health issues.
