I also did so long ago and I used part of these money on this trip of mine via my Binance card while I was in (non EU) Serbia where not only I skipped the transaction fee of my Greek banks but I also got a 2% back.

Yes still keeping it here would help to grow faster. You remind me I should have been looking for one of those crypto cards. The way via my Austrian crypto company costs higher fees
