Hello Hive Community,
For some time now, I ( @adesojisouljay, @breakaway-dev) have been working on an idea. The goal was simple: Hive communities should have the ability to configure and run their own independent spaces while still benefiting from everything the Hive blockchain offers.
Today, that idea has evolved into something much bigger.
Introducing Sovraniche.
What is Sovraniche?
The name reflects the core philosophy behind the project.
Sovra – inspired by sovereignty
Niche – a focused community or specialized space
Put together, they define the mission:
Sovraniche is a space where every community is sovereign.
It is an infrastructure layer designed to allow communities to run their own Hive-powered homes, with their own domains, branding, and identity, while remaining deeply connected to the shared Hive ecosystem.
We have also created a way to connect hive communities to sevaral other blockchains with our web3 wallet integration. We have even built in such a way that communities from other blockchain can create a community on hive and connect their community with hive blockchain.
Fantastically, with one hive keychain signature, you can send any of the listen token in our web3 wallet(You'll fine detailed explanation as you read further)

One of the most powerful parts of Sovraniche is how simple it makes cross-chain transactions.
With a single Hive Keychain signature, users can send any supported cryptocurrency directly from the Sovraniche wallet.
There is no need to switch between multiple wallets or manage different private keys.
You simply sign the transaction once with Hive Keychain, and the transfer is executed.
This makes sending crypto inside a community space as simple as sending a Hive transfer.

For example, a creator could publish on Hive and automatically receive part of their rewards in:

- or any supported cryptocurrency
All while still participating fully in the Hive ecosystem.

Communication is the soul of any community.
Sovraniche includes end-to-end encrypted messaging, allowing members to coordinate and communicate privately.
Users can also send voice notes using our built-in chat system.

Sovraniche introduces a Stories and Status feature that allows users to share quick updates with their community.
Users can:

Hive has always been a place where builders can dream and create. I have always had the desire to build something meaningful on Hive.
Sovraniche is my contribution to the Hive ecosystem.

Great idea, congratulations! Maybe every Hive community could have the multichain success that @skatehive shows since its beggining. My suggestion is to include the option to geolocated posts and visualization, like @worldmappin do for travellers but maybe using Openstreetmap open source solution. I haven't yet fully absorbed the import of Soveraniche, but the claims you make are remarkable, and may enable Hive to actually fulfill more of the promise the platform advented in 2016, if not even extend it. Before the fork, Ned introduced the idea of communities, oracles, and the ability for governance to be more than a mere plutocracy, presenting from Korea.
The way he described communities led me to understand that how upvotes and downvotes worked could be determined by each community, and this would enable them to control user retention. I remain intent on that functionality being availed communities, because it would enable fine tuning metrics that have been poorly managed and have prevented Hive from attaining it's potential. In an open market in which communities could compete for users, communities that got it right(er) would (more) grow, and the extant plutocratic governance model that has failed to grow Hive would no longer prevent better management from being available.
We can all observe how that governance model prevented substantial changes Ned proposed from being implemented, and he sold the platform to Sun Yuchen and bailed.
I will have to consider the structure you have fashioned and wrap my head around it, but from what I have so far understood this market competition may be possible on Sovraniche. Is your code open source? Obviously the security of your wallet, and all your code, must be auditable for significant funds to be entrusted to it.
I am astounded at what you say you have built. I hope it is what we need to grow and adapt as significant changes to global markets have emerged this month, that we will have to cope with and plan for going forward.

I looked at breakaway communities a while ago - has it been a few years now? The appeal was to control the curation to be relevant to the niche and even use second tier tokens to monetize. What have you found thus far?
Starting with Golos (Russian language. I don't speak Russian. It folded anyway), Whaleshares (it folded), and then Blurt! (has it's issues), I haven't really found anything I'd call better. Sovraniche, if I'm right about how communities can work, might be the ticket. We'll see how the wallet works out.
