Cassius Browming – ID: 5707 - Back Story
Cassius Browming was born in the last century. And when he hadn't even spent half his life, he was bitten by a vampire, which granted him immortality.
As the years passed, Cassius never believed that it would be so difficult to get used to the new pace of life that the 21st century brought. He always thought of himself as someone very well adjusted, but when the new century began to unfold with all its comings and goings, with its new ways of working and currency, Cassius found himself… lost.
But he was not static. No. He could be immortal, but not for that he would stay in time or with the old ways. He began to investigate everything new that was happening, especially in the economic field, and discovered a passion that he didn’t know he had.
The numbers. And accounting. As he read and researched, he became more excited about all the things he discovered. So one day he decided that he would study accounting properly. He enrolled in college and graduated within a few years. He was surprised how his classmates aged, how everyone asked him why he only attended night classes, and how they had an identity crisis as they approached the middle of their lives.
Before he knew it, Cassius was an accountant. But his vampire status prevented him from working during the day, so he began to dabble in freelance and international work. He started working for companies on the other side of the world and thought it would be a very good idea for other vampires to join him.
One fine day, he started calling his vampire acquaintances, meeting them at his house, giving them the best blood cocktails he knew, and bringing up his idea: a company of vampire counters.
Many said that they were not interested in it, that they preferred to remain artists or politicians, but others were enthusiastic.
Little by little, the company began to take shape, until Cassius saw himself as the head of a whole group of accountants who were also vampires and work all night for companies on the other side of the world.
