Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!

However, on the 26th one, I have decided that it is big enough to call this series a Library!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

In this series, I will review one unit at a time, picking them randomly.

So let me spin the wheel again and see what I get:

Chaos Knights, War Dog Executioner

10th Edition Index Cards

Two Chaos Knights in a row?! Three Chaos units in a row?! Wow...

This one is literally a Chaos Armiger, so the Ability changes and the secondary gus change, but the main gun is the same.

Well let's do it.

Stats

Same as the War God Brigand I did yesterday.

Movement 12", Toughness 10, 12 Wounds, 3+ save and 5+ invul against ranged attacks.

Weapons

Main guns:
2x War Dog autocannons
4 Attacks each for a total of 8, hitting on 3+
S9, AP-1 and Damage flat 3.

This is a great anti-Terminator weapon so anti-heavy infantry and anti-light vehicles.

Small arms options - Diabolus heavy stubber or Havoc multi-launcher.

Same as the other War Dog, but hitting on 3+. So either 3x S5 shots at 36" that can go up to 6 shots at 18" OR a 48" S5 weapon that can hit people you can't directly see. Only D6 shots on the latter but the Havoc Launcher does have the Blast rule so some extra hits can come from targeting big squads.

Abilities

The Executioner rule give this War Dog +1 to the To Hit roll when firing at an enemy that is Below Half strength, thus named the Executioner!

In synergy this means that you can unleash hell on a unit with another Chaos Knight and then use the Executioner to finish off that is left over.

A bit cheaper in points compared to the scary Brigand it is fair value for points.

Thank you for reading!
