Hello to every member of the @jewelry community. Welcome back to another new week in the month of November. Today I will be discussing how I made two bracelets for a friend using stones and wooden beads.
How it all started was when we had a tenant meeting yesterday and at the process of the meeting, my closest neighbor disclosed to the whole tenant that they actually have a good jewelry designer which she believes most of them are not aware of. This was how a good number of my neighbors get to know what I do in jewelry making.
Honestly, I was astonished by the kind of advert about my jewelry-making expertise. I never told my neighbor to help me create awareness about my jewelry making because I always wanted to be anonymous to my neighbors except for the close ones. When I asked my neighbor why she did that because even my wife have never done that before, my neighbor was bold enough to tell me after the meeting that she did it on her own because she love the uniqueness and color combinations applied to the jewelry I make.
Honestly, I was short of words and never know how to thank her for the free work she did. This was how I decided to make two good match bracelets as a surprise for her. I didn’t have space to give her the two bracelets that same yesterday because it was already late but believe me; she will surely get them today.
I just hope you too will love the jewelry and can be able to make one for yourself. Well, I will be providing you with some tips on how to make it. At least, the bracelets are not difficult to make.
Materials that were used in the making of the bracelets are to be highlighted below:
Nylon line.
Cross and round pendant.
For the bracelet having a cross pendant; 12 pieces of black wooden beads and 12 pieces of water beads were used.
For the bracelet having round pendant:14 pieces of black diamond shape bead and 14 pieces of water bead was used.
Cutter was also used.
Note: why the bracelet that has a cross pendant is using 12 pieces of black wooden beads and 12 water beads while the bracelet has a round pendant with 14 pieces of water beads and 14 pieces of black diamond shape beads because the cross bracelet uses wooden beads is bigger in size thereby making it to occupy more space.
Let us now take a look at the procedures applied in making the bracelets:
You can decide to make the two bracelets at the same time if you wish.
You will have to cut out two separate nylon lines.
For the bracelet having a cross pendant: insert 1 piece of black wooden bead, 1 water bead, 1 black wooden bead, and 1 water bead again. You will have to keep repeating the process until you are able to insert a total of 12 pieces of wooden beads and 12 pieces of water beads. By the time you are done inserting, you can now insert the cross pendant. Now tie the nylon line.
For the bracelet having a round pendant: insert 1 piece of black diamond shape bead, 1 piece of water bead, 1 piece of the black diamond bead, and 1 piece of water bead. You will have to repeat the steps until you finish inserting a total of 14 pieces of black diamond shape beads and 14 pieces of water beads. Now insert the round pendant and tie the nylon line.
