Overall 2023 wasn't a bad year for me, although I didn't achieve all the goals I had set for myself. Maybe next month I will achieve the smaller goals 😊 you never know.

Ya que he estado entusiasmada tejiendo muchos GRANNY en estos días, pensé por qué no hacer un juego de aretes y mostrarlos a los amigos de HIVE ❤️ la intención es que vean de primera mano lo bondadoso de este tejido a crochet tan popular y amado por los tejedores. Los materiales que usé para realizar estos aretes son:

Hilos de crochet acrílicos de 1mm.
Aguja de crochet de 1,60mm.
Tijeras.
Pinzas de bisutería.
Anzuelos pescador para aretes.
Argollas de alambre de bisutería.
Cuentas transparentes.
Alfileres de bisutería.
Granny para seguir el patrón.

Since I've been excited about knitting lots of GRANNY these days, I thought why not make a set of earrings and show them to the folks at HIVE ❤️ the intention is for them to see firsthand the kindness of this popular and beloved crochet knitting for knitters. The materials I used to make these earrings are:

1mm acrylic crochet threads.
Crochet needle of 1.60mm.
Scissors.
Jewelry tweezers.
Fish hooks for earrings.
Jewelry wire earrings.
Transparent beads.
Fashion jewelry pins.
Granny to follow the pattern. the pattern.

Estos aretes me gustan mucho porque podemos hacerlos de cualquier tamaño, color y decoración. Como podrán ver se tejen en apenas dos vueltas y se decoran totalmente a gusto. Voy a explicarles cómo se teje el Granny que es la base de este diseño. Pueden tejerlo de un solo color o combinado.

Para empezar hacemos un anillo mágico. Dentro del AM vamos a levantar cuatro grupos de 3puntos altos cada uno separados por 1cadena. Se cierra la vuelta tejiendo 1punto deslizado.

La segunda vuelta levantamos 3cadenas desde el punto donde cerramos la vuelta. Seguido tejemos 2puntos altos. Después en el espacio de la cadena de separación de la vuelta anterior tejemos 2puntos altos, 2cadenas y 2puntos altos. Enseguida pasamos a los siguientes puntos y tejemos 3puntos altos, uno en cada punto. Después entramos en la siguiente cadena y repetimos 2pa-2c-2pa. De este modo tejeremos por todo lo que nos queda de la vuelta anterior. Cerramos la vuelta tejiendo 1pd. Cortamos el hilo y escondemos la hebra sobrante.

I like these earrings because we can make them in any size, color and decoration. As you can see, they are knitted in just two rows and can be decorated as you like. I am going to explain how to weave the Granny, which is the basis of this design. You can knit it in one color or in a combination.

To begin with, we make a magic ring. Inside the AM we are going to raise four groups of 3 tall stitches each separated by 1 chain. Close the row by knitting 1 slip stitch.

The second row we pick up 3 chains from the stitch where we close the row. Then we knit 2 double crochet stitches. Then in the space of the separating chain of the previous row we knit 2 double crochet, 2 chains and 2 double crochet stitches. Then we move to the next stitches and knit 3 single crochets, one in each stitch. Then we enter the next chain and repeat 2pa-2c-2pa. In this way we will knit through all the remaining stitches of the previous row. We close the row by knitting 1pd. Cut the yarn and hide the excess yarn.

Para que se vean más cuadrados los Granny podemos hacer un proceso de bloqueo que consiste en estirar sobre una base de anime cada Granny. Para ello podemos usar alfileres. Una vez estirados y sujetados los rociamos con un poquito de agua. Los dejamos secar y luego ya podemos empezar a decorarlos.

To make the Granny's look squarer we can do a blocking process that consists of stretching on an anime base each Granny. To do this we can use pins. Once stretched and fastened we spray them with a little water. We let them dry and then we can start decorating them.

Para estos Granny pequeños usé como decoración unas pequeñas borlas elaboradas con los colores de los mismos hilos con el que los tejí. La borla la realicé pasando algunas hebras por dentro de una de las esquinas del Granny, tal como lo pueden ver en la foto.

For these small Granny I used as decoration some small tassels made with the colors of the same yarns with which I wove them. I made the tassel by passing some strands through one of the corners of the Granny, as you can see in the photo.

Luego agregué a cada Granny sus respectivos accesorios para convertirlos en aretes. Usé una argolla de alambre y un anzuelo pescador ayudándome con las pinzas de bisutería.

Then I added to each Granny their respective accessories to turn them into earrings. I used a wire ring and a fishhook with the help of jewelry pliers.

Siguiendo el mismo patrón realicé dos pares más de aretes. A los más pequeños no les coloqué ningún adorno y a los más grandes le agregué una cuenta transparente engarzada en alfileres de bisutería. Me encanta como se ven. 😍

Following the same pattern I made two more pairs of earrings. The smaller ones I didn't put any embellishment and the larger ones I added a clear bead strung on costume jewelry pins. I love the way they look. 😍
