Sus huevos son Minusculos, lo que quiere decir que son milimetricos, osea muy pequeños; Su cascara es una membrana amarillenta y con el paso del tiempo sera gris y verde; Estos medirán unos escasos 1.5 milimetros
Cuando ha pasado un mes es que la oruga hace el capullo , es facil de reconocer cuando se va hacer el capullo pues el gusano cambiara al color amarillo y ademas se reduce de tamaño. Del interior de su cuerpo sale una sustancia liquida que al tener contacto con el aire se vuelve solida y es lo que conocemos como seda, es un hilo unico que puede llegar a medir 1500metros de largo. ¿Increible no?
Quienes las drian retiran la seda y dejan algunas para que se vuelvan mariposa.
