Tenía muchísimo tiempo sin construir algo para esta comunidad, pues resulta que los quehaceres del día día a día hacen un poco imposible poder poner a trabajar la creatividad. Pero hace días vi en la red social Pinterest una pulsera que me llamó mucho la atención y quise replicarla para mí, se trata de una manualidad super sencilla, es una pulsera y en el medio tiene una cruz realizada con tejido macramé… Sin más que decir vamos a colocarnos manos a la obra.
It had been a long time since I had made something for this community, as it turns out that day-to-day chores make it a little impossible to put creativity to work. But a few days ago, I saw a bracelet on Pinterest that caught my attention, and I wanted to make one for myself. It's a super simple craft: a bracelet with a macramé cross in the middle... Without further ado, let's get to work.

- Hilo chino (Dos colores de tu preferencia)
- Perlas de tamaño mediano
- Cinta métrica
- Tijera
- Yesquero
- Chinese thread (two colors of your choice)

Para comenzar con la construcción de la pulsera lo primero que vamos a hacer es tomar lo que será nuestro hilo base, es decir el hilo sobre el cual se construirá todo el tejido y es el que pasará por la muñeca. Para ello, haremos uso de la cinta métrica, colocaremos el hilo doble, mediremos 30 centímetros y procederemos a cortarlo.
To begin making the bracelet, the first thing we will do is take what will be our base thread, that is, the thread on which the entire weave will be constructed and which will go around the wrist. To do this, we will use the measuring tape, place the double thread, measure 30 centimeters, and cut it.
Ya tenemos la base de nuestra pulsera, ahora tomaremos los extremos del hilo que recién cortamos y hacemos un nudo.
Now that we have the base of our bracelet, we will take the ends of the thread we just cut and tie a knot.
Cuando ya tengamos el nudo listo, introduciremos una perla y la empujaremos hasta el nudo que realizamos.
Once the knot is ready, insert a bead and push it up to the knot you have made.
Ahora bien, tomaremos hilo chino de un color diferente al del hilo base. Por ejemplo, en mi caso el hilo base es color azul ahora voy a tomar hilo de color tojo conjuntamente con la cinta métrica mediré 40 centímetros y procedo a cortar.
Now, we will take Chinese thread in a different color from the base thread. For example, in my case, the base thread is blue, so now I am going to take some broom-colored thread and, using the measuring tape, I will measure 40 centimeters and cut it.
Volvemos a tomar hilo chino en mi caso de color rojo, mediré y cortare 4 trozos de 20 centímetros cada uno.
We will take the Chinese thread again, in my case red, and I will measure and cut four pieces, each 20 centimeters long.
Ya tenemos los hilos que usaremos por los momentos, entonces tomaremos el hilo base y mediremos desde la punta hacia el centro aproximadamente 13 centímetros.
We already have the threads we will use for now, so we will take the base thread and measure approximately 13 centimeters from the tip to the center.
Justo donde medimos los 13 centímetros comenzaremos a hacer la cruz. Allí tomaremos el trozo de hilo de 40 centímetros y haremos el primer nudo para comenzar a tejer el macramé.
Right where we measured 13 centimeters, we will begin to make the cross. There, we will take the 40-centimeter piece of thread and make the first knot to begin weaving the macramé.
Ahora procedemos a tejer un macramé de tres nudos solamente. Tal como se ve en la imagen a continuación.
Now we will proceed to weave a macramé with only three knots, as shown in the image below.
Cuando ya realicemos el pequeño tejido macramé quedará hilo suelto, en ese hilo justo de cada lado vamos a tomar los trozos de hilo de 20 centímetros y haremos unos lazos tal cual como vemos a continuación.
When we have finished making the small macramé weave, there will be loose thread. We will take the 20-centimeter pieces of thread from each side and make loops as shown below.
Repetimos el proceso anterior pero esta vez del otro lado.
We repeat the previous process, but this time on the other side.
Una vez ya hayamos colocado los cuatro hilos, entonces dentro de nuestro hilo base incorporamos una perla y la llevamos hasta donde terminó nuestro primer tejido macramé.
Once we have placed the four threads, we then add a bead to our base thread and take it to where our first macramé weave ended.
Ahora traemos nuevamente las puntas del hilo con el que estamos realizando el tejido lo pasamos alrededor de la perla y tejemos otro macramé, pero esta vez de cuatro nudos.
Now we bring the ends of the thread we are using to weave back around the bead and weave another macramé knot, but this time with four knots.
En este punto, tenemos que cortar dos trozos de hilo rojo más, nos vamos hacia uno de los lados, tomamos los cuatro hilos sueltos y tejemos un macramé de tres nudos.
At this point, we need to cut two more pieces of red thread. We move to one side, take the four loose threads, and weave a three-knot macramé.
Repetimos el paso anterior del otro lado.
Repeat the previous step on the other side.
Para poder darle forma a la cruz vamos a cortar todos los hilos excedentes.
To shape the cross, we will cut off all the excess threads.
Ya la cruz está lista, por ende, la pulsera está en fase final. Tomaremos una perla y la colocaremos del otro lado de nuestra pulsera.
The cross is now ready, so the bracelet is in its final stage. We will take a pearl and place it on the other side of our bracelet.
Medimos con la otra punta de la pulsera de modo que los nudos finales queden exactamente a la misma distancia de la cruz la cual está en el centro de la pulsera.
We measure with the other end of the bracelet so that the final knots are exactly the same distance from the cross, which is in the center of the bracelet.
En este momento, procedemos a cerrar la pulsera para eso cortaremos un trozo pequeño de hilo azul y uniendo las dos puntas de la pulsera haremos un tejido macramé de aproximadamente 5 o 6 nudos, esto permitirá abrir y cerrar la pulsera.
Now, we will close the bracelet. To do this, we will cut a small piece of blue thread and join the two ends of the bracelet, making a macramé weave of approximately 5 or 6 knots. This will allow the bracelet to be opened and closed.
Para finalizar cortamos los hilos excedentes y quemamos todos los bordes de la pulsera para asegurarla.
To finish, we cut off the excess threads and singe all the edges of the bracelet to secure it.
Listo… Ya nuestra pulsera está terminada, es una bisutería muy sencilla, ideal para usar con nuestros atuendos diarios o deportivos para cualquier ocasión, incluso es una excelente opción para dar de obsequio.

Está muy bonita la pulsera, y aunque se ve simple tengo la conciencia de que este tipo de tejidos cualquiera no lo logra con facilidad hay que tener paciencia y detalle.
