El día de hoy luego de varias pruebas y de tejer y destejer logre dar el diseño que quería para mis nuevos aretes, y estoy realmente feliz con el resultado y por esa razón estoy aquí compartiendo con ustedes mi proceso creativo de este hermoso par de Aretes de Granny tejidos a crochet que resultaron ser muy elegantes.

Today after several tests and knitting and unknitting I managed to give the design I wanted for my new earrings, and I am really happy with the result and for that reason I am here sharing with you my creative process of this beautiful pair of crocheted Granny Earrings that turned out to be very elegant.

Como les dije al iniciar estos aretes fueron un proceso de prueba y error como la mayoría de los diseños al inicio o como cuando realizamos algo por primera vez, y precisamente yo estoy en ambos procesos, y es que quise aventurarme a tejer un par de aretes en forma de granny, pero quise que mi diseño fuese algo original, pero como es mi primer par de aretes tejidos de esta forma me tomo mas tiempo de lo normal, pero valió la pena cada segundo invertido ya que quede enamorada del resultado.

Les cuento que estoy entusiasmada creando aretes tejidos, es mi nuevo proyecto de crochet, y aunque no he comprado materiales para esto, voy adelantando con lo que tengo, y es por eso que he estado usando algunos aretes que tengo guardados y que ya no uso y me parece que puedo darles nueva vida complementando con ellos mis aretes tejidos.

A continuación les contare sobre los materiales que use para realizar los aretes y sobre el proceso de tejido.

MATERIALES:

-Hilo de crochet color negro.

Hilo Lamé color dorado.
-Ganchillo #4.
-Aguja lanera.
-Tijeras.
-Un par de aretes usados pero en excelentes condiciones.

As I said at the beginning these earrings were a process of trial and error as most of the designs at the beginning or as when we do something for the first time, and I am in both processes, and I wanted to venture to knit a pair of earrings in the form of granny, but I wanted my design to be something original, but as it is my first pair of earrings woven in this way it took me more time than usual, but it was worth every second invested because I fell in love with the result.

I am excited about creating woven earrings, it is my new crochet project, and although I have not bought materials for this, I am going ahead with what I have, and that is why I have been reusing some earrings that I have saved and no longer use and I think I can give them new life by complementing my woven earrings with them.

Next I will tell you about the materials I used to make the earrings and about the weaving process.

MATERIALS

Black crochet thread.
Gold colored lamé yarn.
Crochet hook #4.
Wool needle.
Scissors.
A pair of earrings used but in excellent condition.

PROCESO DE TEJIDO:

Inicie buscando en internet algunos diseños de grannys que me gustaran y me parecieran adecuados para unos aretes, cuando di con el que me gustaba mas, lo que hice fue empezar a tejer, pero tuve que tejer y destejer unas 3 veces ya que no me gustaba como quedaba el diseño original.

Así que lo adapte a mis necesidades y cambie tanto la cantidad de puntos como el tipo de punto a utilizar, hasta que logre dar con el diseño y tamaño que quería para mis aretes.

Fui anotando como realizaba cada vuelta y al lograr el diseño deseado dibujé un diagrama del granny que logre realizar y acá les dejo la imagen del mismo.

WEAVING PROCESS:

I started looking on the internet for some designs of grannys that I liked and seemed to me suitable for earrings, when I found the one I liked the most, what I did was to start knitting, but I had to knit and unknit about 3 times because I didn't like how the original design looked like.

So I adapted it to my needs and changed both the number of stitches and the type of stitch to use, until I managed to find the design and size I wanted for my earrings.

I wrote down how I made each turn and when I got the desired design I drew a diagram of the granny I managed to make and here I leave the image of it.

Igual por si no saben leer un diagrama, o por si prefieren los patrones escritos, a continuación les describo lo que refleja el diagrama:

Iniciar tejiendo con hilo negro un anillo de 5 cadenas.
V1: tejer 8 Pb, cerrar con Pd, cortar y asegurar la hebra.
V2: cambiar a color dorado y sobre cada punto de la vuelta anterior tejer 3 Pa cerrados juntos, intercalando con cadenetas según se muestra en el diagrama, cortar y asegurar la hebra.
V3: cambiar a color negro y tejer mpa en toda la vuelta, en los tramos de 2 cadenetas se tejen 3 mpa, y en los de 4 cadenetas que son los que forman las esquinas del granny tejer la siguiente secuencia ( 3 mpa, 1 Pa, punto picot de 1 cad, 1 Pa, 3 mpa).

Para finalizar realice Pd sobre los puntos de la vuelta 3 con hilo dorado, esto para mi fue el detalle distintivo de mi diseño, y me encanto ya que da la impresión de que hubiese pegado una cadena dorada en el borde del granny.

However, in case you don't know how to read a diagram, or if you prefer written patterns, here is what the diagram shows:

Start by knitting with black yarn a ring of 5 chains.
R1: knit 8 sc, close with sl st, cut and secure the loop.
R2: change to gold color and over each stitch of the previous row knit 3 closed dc together, interspersing with chain stitches as shown in the diagram, cut and secure the loop.
R3: change to black and knit hdc in the whole row, in the 2 chain sections knit 3 hdc, and in the 4 chain sections that form the corners of the granny knit the following sequence (3 hdc, 1 dc, 1 chain picot stitch, 1 dc, 3 hdc).

To finish I made sl st on the stitches of row 3 with golden thread, this was for me the distinctive detail of my design, and I loved it because it gives the impression that I had glued a golden chain on the edge of the granny.

Por ultimo, lo que hice fue desarmar el arete que iba a reutilizar y arme mi nuevo arete con los grannys que había tejido.

Finally, I took apart the earring I was going to reuse and assembled my new earring with the grannys I had woven.

Realmente deseo les haya gustado tanto como a mí el resultado final de estos hermosos y muy elegantes aretes de granny, me encanto la experiencia de tejerlos y diseñarlos desde cero, y espero se animen a tejerlos, sean muy creativos combinando diferentes colores; de seguro en blanco y dorado también han de lucir muy lindos.
