Haciendo unas correas tejidas para un reloj con paracord.
Hello friends and craft lovers, today I want to share with you a little bit of a craft I made, an aunt had a watch in storage because she didn't have the straps and she asked me the favor of knitting her some nice straps for the watch. Without thinking about it I told her that of course I would have the watch at hand to start weaving, I have paracord cord, I always like to have all kinds of threads, cords or anything that has to do with crafts. There is always something you can make and if you have material you can use it so you don't waste time going to the store.
Hola amigos y amantes de las manualidades el día de hoy les quiero compartir un poco de una manualidad que realice, una tía tenía un reloj guardado por no tener las correas y me pidió el favor de que le tejiera unas lindas correas para el reloj. Yo sin pensarlo le dije que claro que me tuviera el reloj a la mano para comenzar el tejido, yo tengo cordón paracord, siempre me gusta tener toda clases de hilos, cordones o cualquier cosa que tenga que ver con manualidades. Siempre sale alguna cosa que puedas realizar y si tienes material lo puedes usar y así no pierdes tiempo en ir a la tienda.

No te pierdas el paso a paso y acompáñame a ver cómo quedan estas hermosas correas en paracord, bueno a mí me relaja hacer trenzas o cualquier manualidad que tenga que ver con tejidos, aunque a veces no tenga idea de cómo hacerlas busco algún tutorial y luego práctico. Nada en esta vida es 100% perfecto y tampoco todo el tiempo sabemos todo por eso existen otras personas que ayudan al día a día y explican las cosas que deseen hacer. La retroalimentación es muy importante en el ser humano ya que tú aprendes de otros y otros aprenden de ti.
The materials I used were the following:
- Paracord cord
- Lighter
- A paper clip
- Scissors
- The screen of the watch.
Los materiales que utilice fueron los siguientes:
- Cordón paracord
- Encendedor
- Un clip
- Tijera
- La pantalla del reloj.
Here I start the elaboration of the straps and the first thing I do is to get the cord of the desired size, in my case I took the size of my aunt's hand and used 3 meters of paracord.
Acá comienzo la elaboración de las correas y lo primero que hago es agarrar el cordón del tamaño deseado, en mi caso tome la medida de la mano de mi tía y utilice 3 metros de paracord.
I take the paracord and fold it in half, I join the ends of the paracord, and I proceed to place the paracord through the clip that I will use for the clasp of the watch, as you can see in the pictures.
Agarro el paracord y lo doblo por la mitad, uno sus puntas quedando del mismo largo, y procedo a colocar el paracord por el clip que usaré para el broche del reloj, así como podrán observar en las imágenes.
They will form a knot preventing this cord from moving and coming out of the clip, the other part of the clip is also grabbed and the loose ends of the paracord are put on the other side of the male clip and placed exactly at the wrist size of the person to whom the leash is to be made.
Formarán un nudo evitando que este cordón se mueva y se salga del clip, también se agarra la otra parte del clip y las puntas que quedan sueltas del paracord se meten al otro lado del clip macho y se coloca exactamente a la medida de la muñeca de la persona a la cual le realicen la correa.
Here I start the braiding on the male part of the clip, we turn the watch over and weave it from the back, leaving the round congorocho type shape towards the front, as you can see in the images.
Acá comienzo el trenzado por la parte del clip macho, volteamos el reloj y hacemos el tejido por la parte de atrás, quedando la forma redonda tipo congorocho hacia la parte de frente, así como podrán ver en las imágenes.
After having one side of the watch strap ready, the screen of the watch is grabbed and the pins are inserted into the cords leaving only the tips of the pin free to be placed on the screen again to stabilize the watch on its strap. This is also done with the other side, i.e. we repeat the process leaving the screen fixed to the strap.
Luego de tener lista una parte de la correa del reloj se agarra la pantalla del reloj y los pasadores los introduzco en los cordones dejando solo las puntas del pasador libre para poder colocar en la pantalla nuevamente y así poder estabilizar el reloj en su correa. Esto se hace también con el otro lado, es decir repetimos el proceso dejando fija la pantalla a la correa.

Once the screen has been fixed to the strap, proceed to continue weaving, keeping in mind that you must continue weaving the same way you started weaving the upper part of the strap, until the process is finished.
Ya fijada la pantalla a la correa se procede a seguir el tejido teniendo en cuanta que debes continuar el tejido así como comenzaste la parte de arriba de la correa realizada, hasta finalizar el proceso.
At the end we cut the excess of the cords and leave only a very short piece, we burn with the lighter the trimmed ends and ready we have a finished watch.
Al finalizar cortamos lo sobrante de los cordones y dejamos solo un pedazo muy corto, quemamos con el encendedor las puntas recortadas y listo ya tenemos un reloj terminado.

Siempre me ha gustado hacer manualidades, y recuerdo que de niño hacía muchas pulseras con este tejido y solía regalarlas o venderlas en el colegio. Realmente no recuerdo por qué dejé de hacerlo, si recuerdo que lo disfrutaba mucho. Creo que lo retomaré, al menos como pasatiempo y para hacer regalos bonitos.

Llamó mucho mi atención la foto principal, es una idea muy creativa además de ser útil, las correas de los relojes se dañan muy rápido, esta es una opción creativa y duradera de resolver ese problema.
