My run down the flat side of the Dune du Pilat in France near Bordeaux in my holidays towards the sea at sunset..
That was such a great sand there. Real cool experience there...
There are 2 sides on the dune, a steep side about 60 degrees steep, where you can go up by wooden stairs with railings to hold on to, which faces the land and a flat side about 40 degrees flat, facing the sea. There you can also easily walk down, which I did there. There are also usually many paragliders there, because when the weather is good the updrafts are really great there and many beginners also practice there, because not much can happen with the soft sand. So go there if you're around. There are also campsites at the foot of the dunes.
Unfortunately a bit blurred... but it was a great feeling! If you are in the vicinity, you should not miss going there... Unfortunately, the gas stations in the area cheat the customers, if you fill up 20 liters of petrol there, you only get about 15 liters or so... So be careful... ;)

Das war so ein toller Sand dort. Echt Klasse dort...
Es gibt auf der Düne 2 Seiten, eine Steile Seite ca. 60 Grad steil, wo man per Holztreppe mit Geländer zum Festhalten hochgehen kann , die zum Land hin zugewandt ist und eine flache Seite ca. 40 Grad flach, zum Meer zugewandt. Dort kann man auch ganz easy runterlaufen, was ich dort gemacht habe. Auch gibt es dort meistens viele Gleitschirm-Flieger, weil bei gutem Wetter die Aufwinde dort echt toll sind und viele Anfänger dort auch üben, denn bei dem weichen Sand kann ja nicht viel passieren. also fahrt mal hin, wenn Ihr da in der Nähe seid. Es gibt da auch Campingplätze am Fuss der Düne.
Leider ein bischen verwackelt...war aber ein tolles Feeling ! Wer da in der Nähe ist sollte es nicht versäumen da mal hinzufahren... Leider bescheissen die Tankstellen da im Umkreis die Kunden, wenn man da 20 Liter Benzin tankt, bekommt man nur ca. 15 Liter oder so..Also aufpassen... ;)
