Cats are animals that for some reason not many people give them the value they deserve, they are animals that in my opinion make an excellent pet, they are extremely independent but very good companions. In my house there have always been cats, but there is a specific cat that will always be in my memories since it was the one that was at home the longest and throughout my childhood, and it was from him that I inspired my post, it seemed to me that a An excellent way to remember him is to always carry him with me, so I decided to make a keychain with the colors of this cat. His name was nothing original, his name was Misu, but I will certainly never forget it. Here I show them in this old photo I have of him.
Hola hola, mis queridos lectores, les saludo nuevamente por acá por la comunidad de DIYhub. Me he animado a participar en este concurso que ha realizado la comunidad, ya que me ha gustado mucho la temática.
Los gatos son animales que por alguna razón no mucha gente les da el valor que se merecen, son animales que a mi parecer son una excelente mascota, son sumamente independientes pero muy buenos compañeros. En mi casa siempre ha habido gatos, pero hay un gato en especifico que siempre estará en mis recuerdos ya que fue el que estuvo por más tiempo en casa y durante toda mi niñez, y en él fue que inspiré mi post, me pareció que una excelente manera de recordarlo es llevandolo siempre conmigo por lo que decidí hacer un llavero con los colores de este gato. Su nombre no era nada original, se llamaba Misu, pero sin duda jamás lo olvidaré. Acá se los muestro en esta foto vieja que tengo de él.

The materials I used were the following:
- Cat pattern.
- Carbon paper.
- Cardboard.
- Pen or marker.
- White, pink, black and brown thread.
- White, black, pink and brown felt.
- Wadding for filling.
- Scissors.
- Keychain ring.
- Sewing needle.
Los materiales que utilicé fueron los siguiente:
- Patrón de gato.
- Papel carbón.
- Cartulina.
- Lapicero o marcador.
- Hilo blanco, rosado, negro y marrón.
- Fieltro blanco, negro, rosado y marrón.
- Guata para relleno.
- Tijeras.
- Aro para llavero.
- Aguja de coser.
For the keychain I needed to make a mold with the parts of the cat to be able to highlight them on the felt, so to start making the keychain I took the cardboard, the carbon paper and the pattern that I chose. I will place the carbon paper on top of the cardboard, and on top of this our pattern, to highlight each of the parts with the pencil.
Para el llavero necesite sacar un molde con las partes del gato para poder remarcarlas en el fieltro, por lo que para comenzar a realizar el llavero tomé la cartulina, el papel carbón y el patrón que escogí. Colocaré el papel carbón por encima de la cartulina, y por encima de este nuestro patrón, para remarcar con el lapicero cada una de las partes.

I will start by highlighting the body, or what would be the head of the cat, in the white felt, and I will go directly to cutting it out. I'm going to need two pieces of this for the front and the back.
Comenzaré remarcando el cuerpo, o lo que vendría siendo la cabeza del gato, en el fieltro de color blanco, y paso directamente a recórtarlo. Voy a necesitar dos piezas de este para la parte del frente y para la parte trasera.
Now I will take the brown felt and highlight the corresponding parts of this color, one of which is the ear, I will cut two of the same pattern, and then I will mark the spot on the cat's head and cut it out.

Lo siguiente en remarcar para finalizar será la nariz y la parte de adentro de las orejas del gato, el fieltro rosado. En el fieltro negro, voy a remarcar la otra oreja del gato, que al igual que en la oreja anterior recortare dos iguales, y por último los ojos. Y ya tenemos todas nuestras piezas listas.
Lo siguiente en remarcar para finalizar será la nariz y la parte de adentro de las orejas del gato, el fieltro rosado. En el fieltro negro, voy a remarcar la otra oreja del gato, que al igual que en la oreja anterior recortare dos iguales, y por último los ojos. Y ya tenemos todas nuestras piezas listas.

Ahora tomaré una de las partes que cortamos del fieltro blanco para la cabeza y la mancha de color marrón. Voy a agarrar la mancha y la colocaré en el extremo derecho de la cabeza del gato y con el hilo marrón lo cosere por la orilla inferior, una vez haya llegado al borde superior tomaré la oreja de color negro y la voy a poner en el centro de las dos partes de la cabeza del gato y con el mismo hilo marrón seguiré cosiendo hasta el final de la mancha como les muestro en la foto.
Ahora tomaré una de las partes que cortamos del fieltro blanco para la cabeza y la mancha de color marrón. Voy a agarrar la mancha y la colocaré en el extremo derecho de la cabeza del gato y con el hilo marrón lo cosere por la orilla inferior, una vez haya llegado al borde superior tomaré la oreja de color negro y la voy a poner en el centro de las dos partes de la cabeza del gato y con el mismo hilo marrón seguiré cosiendo hasta el final de la mancha como les muestro en la foto.
Next, I will take the two eyes of the cat that we cut out of the black felt and I will place them so that they are even and then sew them on the front part of the cat, so that when the two parts are put together the thread will not be visible from behind

Now comes one of the most important parts of this keychain. With the black thread I am going to sew the cat's whiskers and mouth, I admit that it took me a bit and at first I didn't like it and I thought about giving up but I decided to continue until the end and then I liked the result.

Almost to finish, I am going to sew the last part of the cat, which is the left ear. I placed it between both sides of the white felt and with the white thread I will sew along the edge. Once I finish sewing the ear, I will take a little filling and insert it into the cat's head and then proceed to close it completely.
Ya casi para terminar voy a coserle la última parte al gato que es la oreja izquierda, colocó esta entre ambos lados del fieltro blanco y con el hilo blanco cosere por el borde. Ya al terminar de coser la oreja tomaré un poco de relleno y lo introduzco en la cabeza del gato para luego proceder a cerrarla por completo.
And when I get to the end I will tie a knot and cut it with scissors, and we have our cat head ready.

And what is a keychain without having somewhere to hang the key? A la primera de las dos gatitas que tenemos en casa también le pusimos Misu, pero alguien echando broma dijo "pobrecita, no tiene nombre". Por eso ahora, cuando escribo sobre ella, la nombro como Miss ☺️.

Holaaaaa siempre guardamos recuerdos de nuestras mascotas más preciadas y es lindo recordarlas. Ciertamente los gatos son de los animales domésticos más dóciles y tiernos aunque algunas veces saca sus garras.
