Sigo con mis proyectos de costura, y esta vez les traigo una idea muy útil para todos mis amigos que les gusta tener sus herramientas de trabajo organizadas y a mano. No sé si alguna vez les ha pasado que estamos trabajando y perdemos las tijeras; en mi caso, pasa a menudo y no sabemos qué hacer en ese momento. Por eso quise hacer este hermoso porta tijeras de tela en forma de corazón para organizar mis herramientas de costura y tenerlas a mano. I continue with my sewing projects, and this time I bring you a very useful idea for all my friends who like to keep their work tools organized and at hand. I don't know if it's ever happened to you that we're working and we lose our scissors; in my case, it happens often, and we don't know what to do at that moment. That's why I wanted to make this beautiful heart-shaped fabric scissors holder to organize my sewing tools and keep them handy. Without further ado, we invite you to read this procedure to get inspired and make one at home.

Materials

Scissors, in this case, denim.

Needle and thread.

A button.

A pencil.

Para empezar este proyecto, cortamos las piezas de nuestro organizador. En un trozo de tela, marcaremos un corazón y cortaremos cuatro piezas idénticas.

To start this project, we cut out the pieces for our organizer. On a piece of fabric, we'll mark a heart and cut four identical pieces.

Seguidamente que tengamos nuestras piezas, procedemos a unir un par sujetando con costura floja.

Once we have our pieces, we proceed to join a pair together, securing them with loose stitching.

Para hacer el primer bolsillo tomaremos una de las piezas y recortamos a la mitad cubriendo el borde con una tira de otra tela. Esta pieza la sujetamos a la base.

To make the first pocket, we'll cut one of the pieces in half, covering the edge with a strip of another fabric. We'll attach this piece to the base.

El siguiente bolsillo será un poco más pequeño. Tomamos la cuarta pieza y cortamos menos de la mitad para crear el segundo bolsillo.

The next pocket will be a little smaller. We take the fourth piece and cut less than half of it to create the second pocket.

Cosemos este bolsillo en la parte inferior del corazón así como ven en las imágenes, uno debajo de otro.

We sew this pocket at the bottom of the heart as you see in the images, one below the other.

Una vez que nuestras piezas estén juntas, hacemos una costura recta en el medio del corazón para hacer compartimientos y poder guardar tijeras, hilos y más.

Once our pieces are together, we make a straight seam down the middle of the heart to create compartments for storing scissors, thread, and more.

Vamos a coser una tira en el borde del corazón, fruncimos un poco con costura para obtener una buena costura.

We're going to sew a strip around the edge of the heart, gathering it a little with the seam to get a nice seam.

Vamos a decorar nuestro organizador con una linda flor azul. Recortamos unos pétalos de tela en este caso 3 pares, cosemos por el revés y al terminar volteamos. Hacemos la flor y la cosemos en el centro de este organizador.

Let's decorate our organizer with a pretty blue flower. Cut out some fabric petals—in this case, three pairs—sew them together on the wrong side, and flip them over when finished. Make the flower and the cosmetic bag in the center of this organizer.
