I had my old CDs saved for a while now and thought I could use them to make new projects and elegant figures to put on the wall or decorate any part of the room, you see, I really like the rainbow reflection that these CDs bring, I feel they contribute a retro and vintage style to our interior, I would love to make a CD curtain but the truth is I need many more to complete this project and although it is a project that I have in mind I would like to do it to decorate the room and have a more retro style, I am a lover of crafts and creativity and here anything you have to recycle and make art with it, you can be sure that I will like it, if you can't find what to do with your CDs it's time for you to see how to make butterflies with them💿.

We will select the CDs that have double plastic and you will realize that a CD is double plastic when there is a division in the flat part of the center. There you will see the two joints of the CD, the silver one with color and the transparent one that is like a lilac color. Between that division, we will be detaching both pieces of the CD or the plastic. Beforehand, I decided to give them a little heat so that their extraction would be easier and the plastic would soften a little.

Then we will use our wire cutter tool and this is perfect because it has a slightly flat tip and it will be easier to insert it and divide both plastics and there we go little by little trying to detach the plastic you must do this very carefully and calmly remember to also insert the tool all the way into the plastic so that the CD comes off in the center and in the end both pieces will come off.

Once I have extracted both pieces, I will make the butterfly design on the silver plastic with rainbow or metallic and with the marker I will mark the wings of the butterfly and its body equally with the antennas 🦋💿. Also remember to make the butterfly's wings a little long at the bottom so that the complete design you are making is enough on the CD.

I made two other pieces of the butterfly's wings in the transparent plastic in a lilac color because I will glue these pieces under the metallic wings to give a more realistic effect to the butterfly and wider wings, then what I simply did was glue the corresponding pieces of my butterfly.
