Greetings creative friends and community @diyhub, I wish you a happy day together with your loved ones, I am happy to share my entry for this month's contest July: Let's celebrate friendship, friends are those brothers that life gives us and are an important part of our family; throughout my years I have had great friends, some outside the country, others residing in different cities but we maintain constant communication, on the platform I have also met friends with whom I maintain a beautiful friendship and I thank God for putting them in my way.
For my entry I made an ice cream cushion for a very special friend, we work together and since we met a nice friendship arose, when we have the opportunity we go to the mall and eat delicious ice cream, the cushion is inspired by the flavors that she likes strawberry, butter and vanilla, I also added her favorite colors such as blue in two tones, the layer is formed by a fabric that encompasses sweets and treats, because she enjoys eating candy, ice cream and desserts.
Saludos amigos creativos y comunidad @diyhub, les deseo un feliz día en unión de sus seres queridos, me siento feliz de compartir mi entrada para el concurso del mes en curso July: Let's celebrate friendship, los amigos son esos hermanos que la vida nos regala y forman parte importante de nuestra familia; a lo largo de mis años he tenido grandes amigos, algunos fuuera del país, otros residenciados en diferentes ciudades pero mantenemos comunicación constante, en la plataforma también he conocido amigos con los cuales mantengo una linda amistad y agradezco a Dios por ponerlos en mi camino.
Para mi entrada elaboré un helado cojín para una amiga muy especial, trabajamos juntas y desde que nos conocimos surgió una linda amistad, cuando tenemos oportunidad vamos al centro comercial y comemos deliciosos helados, el cojín está inspirado en los sabores que a ella le gustan fresa, mantecado y vainilla, también agregué sus colores favoritos como lo son el color azul en dos tonos, el capacillo está formado por una tela que engloba dulces y golosinas, pues ella disfruta comer golosinas, helados y postres.

I started by marking the molds that will form the ice cream; the little container and the three layers of cream, then I marked with the soap and cut.

Inicié marcando los moldes que formarán el helado; el capacillo y las tres capas de crema, luego marqué con el jaboncillo y corté.
To assemble the ice cream, I faced the container with the strawberry layer (number 1), also the strawberry and vanilla layer (number 2) with the blueberry and flower petals layer (number 3), I sewed with a straight stitch and cut off the excess fabric.
Para armar el helado enfrenté el capacillo con la capa de fresa (número 1), también la capa de fresa y vainilla (número 2) con la de arándanos y pétalos de flores (número 3) cosí con puntada recta y corté el exceso de tela.
The next step was to sew the previous pieces, facing the right side of the strawberry layer with the wrong side of the ice cream layer number two (2), for this I used a zigzag stitch.
El siguiente paso fue coser las piezas anteriores , enfrentando derecho de la capa de fresa con revés de la capa de helado número dos (2), para ello usé puntada de zigzag.
I assembled the front part of the ice cream, I faced the right back (blue fabric) and front of the cushion, pinned and sewed all around, once the sewing was finished, remove the excess fabric and made pickets in the corners, which allows to keep the shape.
Armada la parte delantera del helado, enfrenté por el derecho trasero (tela azul) y delantero del cojín, sujeté con alfileres y cosí por todo el contorno, terminada la costura retire el exceso de tela y e hice piquetes en las esquinas, lo cual permite mantener la forma.
I made an opening in the back to turn over then stuffed and closed the opening with a hidden stitch.
Hice una abertura en la parte trasera para voltear luego rellené y cerré la abertura con puntada escondida.
To finish, I cut a circle out of red fabric, sewed the edges, filled it and formed a ball that will be the cherry that will go on top of the ice cream; With these simple steps, a beautiful cushion is finished that will be a special gift for my friend.
Para finalizar corté un círculo en tela roja, cosí por los bordes, rellené y formé una bola que será la cereza que irá en la parte superior del helado; con estos sencillos pasos está terminado un hermoso cojín que será un obsequio especial para mi amiga.
This project is easy to do and a beautiful detail for my friend who loves to eat ice cream and candy. I liked the result and the combination of fabrics, because they define my friend's tastes and cover her favorite desserts.
Este proyecto es sencillo de realizar y un hermoso detalle para mi amiga que ama comer helados y golosinas, me gustó el resultado y la combinación de telas, pues definen los gustos de mi amiga y abarcan sus postres favoritos.
