Greetings creative friends and community @diyhub, I hope you have an excellent and blessed day, I am happy to share a new sewing project 🧵 which completes the kitchen kit consisting of the apron, oven mitt and circular potholders with the theme of donuts and coffee cups, I really liked this fabric for its beautiful print with many donuts and coffee cups that constitute a delicious combination to share a delicious dessert; It is also perfect to decorate and beautify the kitchen, I made the potholders in a circular shape to have a different design, I usually make them square, but this time I wanted to vary and cut them in a circular shape, they look very pretty and I liked the result, I invite you to join me in the elaboration process.
Saludos amigos creativos y comunidad @diyhub, espero que tengan un excelente y bendecido día, me siento feliz de compartir un nuevo proyecto de costura 🧵 el cual completa el kit para la cocina integrado por el delantal, guante de cocina y agarradores circulares con la temática de donas y tasas de café, esta tela me gustó mucho por su hermoso estampado con muchas donas y tazas de café que constituyen una deliciosa combinación para compartir un delicioso postre; también es perfecta para decorar y embellecer la cocina, los agarradores los hice de forma circular para tener un diseño diferente, regularmente los hago cuadrados, pero en esta ocasión quise variar y los corté en forma circular, se ven muy bonitos y me gustó el resultado, les invito me acompañen en el proceso de elaboración.

Elaboration
The first step in making the pot holders was to cut the pieces; I then folded two rectangles in half, pinned them, and using the mug as a template, marked the circle.

El primer paso para elaborar los agarradores de olla fue cortar las piezas; dos rectángulos luego doblé a la mitad, coloqué alfileres y usando la taza como molde marqué el círculo.
I then placed the batting in the center of the fabrics, facing each other wrong side up. I pinned them to make sewing easier and prevent the batting and fabric from shifting.

For quilting, I sewed four straight stitches, then sewed the outline of the circle using a straight stitch. Using the chalk line as a reference, I removed the excess fabric, and now the piece is quilted. For quilting, it's recommended to use the largest lining fabric and batting, since sewing multiple lines tends to reduce the size. Leaving excess on the sides will prevent the pot holders from becoming too small.
Para acolchar pasé cuatro costuras rectas, luego cosí el contorno del círculo usando puntada recta y tomando como referencia, la línea que tracé con la tiza, retiré el exceso de tela y así está acolchada la pieza; para acolchar, es recomendable utilizar la tela de forro y guata más grande, ya que al pasar varias líneas de costura estas tienden a reducir, al dejar sobrantes a los lados no habrá inconvenientes con el tamaño de los agarradores de olla.
The next step was to measure the contours of the potholders to determine how much bias tape to use. I attached the bias tape using a straight stitch. When attaching the bias tape, make sure it covers both the front and back of the piece.
El siguiente paso fue medir el contorno de los agarradores para saber la cantidad de sesgo a usar, el sesgo lo pegué utilizando puntada recta, al pegar el sesgo se debe ir verificando que éste cubra tanto la parte delantera como el posterior de la pieza.
The last step was to glue a ribbon to the top to serve as a hanger. I pinned it with right sides facing and sewed a straight stitch.
With these simple steps, two beautiful pot holders are finished, very useful in the kitchen.
El último paso fue pegar una cinta en la parte de arriba que servirá de colgadero, sujeté con alfileres enfrentando los derechos y cosi puntada recta,
