Happy weekend and a beautiful day to you all in this great community @diyhub I hope you all are doing great, it is with great pleasure that I will be sharing with you the making of this simple small coin pouch with handle and zipper to secure the items in it.
I made this pouch with fabric for the safe keeping of coins before being kept in our bag as ladies, it can also be used to keep other items like lip gloss or whatever you want to put in it as far as it can keep it safe and secure.
Some of this little items are sold in store at high price but as a seamstress, you can get it done with just your pieces of left over fabrics, this is one of the advantages you get from those scraps instead of trashing them away.
Let's me take you through the cutting and sewing process and I'm sure you will like the beautiful outcome
I measured and cut out 7 x 11" of fabric with interfacing iron on it and it was used to cut out same measurement of lining
I placed a small zipper on it and sew it on both sides after which it was top stitched on the right side as well
I placed the zipper to the middle and I sew the bottom together
I cut out a small bais tape folded it and sew it together to make the handle
The bias tape was placed where the zipper head stopped at the top and was top stitched on, then I folded in both sides of the fabric in and sew on a straight line from one end to the other
The excess zipper were trimmed off and it was turned to the right side through the zipper opening
This is the final and beautiful outcome, you can see how simple and useful this is.
You can make this for yourself or as a gift to someone and I'm sure it will be well appreciated.
