A beautiful day to everyone in this great community @diyhub, I hope you all are doing great just as I am here, it is another great day for me to share with you all one of my simple project I just did using pieces of fabric. One of the beautiful thing I love about sewing is that it is not limited to only sewing of outfit, there are lots of beautiful things you can make with the pieces of left over fabrics after sewing an outfit, this project can be used as accessories to the outfit you made as well, it can add more beauty and complement to your outfit which can also make you look unique in your style. This is a knotted headband I will be sharing with you today made from pieces of left over fabrics.
Sometimes ago, I made a twisted headband for myself to complement my outfit from one of the left over fabrics I had made for a client a long time ago, the left over was kept safe until recently I used it to make an accessory for my outfit, a friend of mine saw it and requested I give it to her which I did, she was so happy as it looks good on her, then I thought of making another one in different form to replace the one that was given to my friend, I looked for another piece of fabric and made this knotted one for myself.
Let's get started with the cutting and sewing process
I measured and cut out 20 x 8" from a stretchy fabric making the stretchy side the longer side
It was folded on the wrong side and sewn on a straight line on my sewing machine
It was turned to the right side with the seam line in the middle
It was knotted with the knot in the middle
I placed one end to the other with the seam line together and it was taken to the sewing machine to be sewn on the wrong side
It was sewn round and I left a small space where it can be turned to the right side, after sewing, it was turned to the right side through the opening
The opening was too stitched and that was all.
As simple as that, this is the final and beautiful outcome.
I tried it on my head and it was looking so nice and beautiful
