Making a very simple drawstring gift bag using a single piece of fabric

Hello everyone

Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, i hope you are all doing great, its a beautiful weekend out here and i decided to bring to you this beautiful creative design of a drawstring bag i recently made. Its weekend and i know we all have this day to ourselves to rest and take a break from the working days, i wish you all great tome out there as you spend your weekend the way you love.

I will be sharing with you today the process of cutting and sewing a drawstring gift bag using a single piece of fabric and I'm sure with this simple easy and quick steps you can achieve it as well, i used a small measurement, you can decide to make yours bigger by increasing the measurement the way you so desire. This bag is so useful to givea little gift to our close friends, family and love ones, im sure you will like it.

Let me show you the simple step by step process to achieve this.

From my pieces of fabric, i measured and cut out 17 x 9"

I folded in 1" at the top and down and it was taken to the sewing machine to be sewn on a straight line.

It was folded in two and i measured 2" on tge left and right side of the bottom which was cut out

It was taken to the sewing machine as i see from the top to the bottom on both sides leaving a small opening from where i sew for the rope to pass through

The pieces that was cut out from the bottom was used to pipe the bottom on both sides togive it a neat finishing on the wrong side

I measured 30" of bias tape and it was folded in two and sewn on to make the rope on both sides

The bag was turned to the right side and i have a beautiful outcome with the rope passing through the folded top from one side to the other.

This is my simple drawstring gift bag with my supposed gift items in it and tied together
