I love home publications like this: we can communicate so much through handmade media, eh! I wrote, illustrated and constructed books as a child, then made myriad art books as a young adult - and did a book-binding course with a brilliant book artist in England, Guy Begbie, about 10 yrs ago.... It is such a sensual and intimate way to share - and I miss being immersed in books... I explored online publishing, and made multiple ebooks, but that is quite a different thing, and it was heartbreaking to have the one book which I sold a lot of, stolen by Amazon. Put me off book-making altogether. But your zine-ing reminds me to come back to the tactile and the meditation of cutting and pasting in Real Life, not in pixels! Thanks for the important reminder, dear friend! Much love to you in gaining confidence in Spanish - it was a great step for me too, to write in Italiano, even when it was imperfect... 😍Beautiful on multiple levels, dear @calendulacraft !!

How was your book stolen by Amazon? I think you should get back into making your own publications!! As much as I appreciate sharing parts of my art and crafts here and on a couple of other platforms, there is something truly special about making physical copies of writing and art that cannot be found online.
Thank you for the encouraging comment, and for the support writing in Spanish. I think I get in my own way and overly criticize my vocabulary. It is helping me to write out my ideas (brainstorm style) first in English and then go back and translate. I am lucky because a couple of native-speaker-friends have agreed to help me add more poetry and cohesiveness once I have a rough draft to show them.
