Happy Earth Day 🌍

La tierra es nuestra gran casa es por ello que hoy quiero participar en el concurso del mes de la comunidad #diyhub regalándole a nuestro planeta 🌍 una casa para protegerla y cuidarla.

Hola a todos, yo soy Lelys espero que estén muy bien. Para mí participación decidí realizar un bello tapiz tejido a crochet, el cual voy a enmarcar con la fachada de una casa 🏠 reciclada. Espero que esta idea les guste y si les es útil se animen a realizarla.

Antes de comenzar me gustaría invitarlos a suscribirse a la comunidad, seguirme en mi blog y quiero hacer un llamado a @linita y @aarolita para que presenten su entrada a este reto.

Hello everyone, I am Lelys I hope you are very well. For my participation I decided to make a beautiful crocheted tapestry, which I am going to frame with the facade of a recycled 🏠 house. I hope you like this idea and if you find it useful you will be encouraged to make it.

Uno de los hábitos que he tenido y conservado es el de darle nuevos usos a los objetos que ya dejan de cumplir su función original. Tal es el caso de UNA FACHADA muy linda que me quedó reciclada ♻️ luego de que el reloj que venía en ella se partiera junto con el cristal. Desde hace unos años la conservo y hoy se llegó la hora de darle un nuevo uso. De esta manera contribuyo al cuidado y protección del planeta, prolongando la vida útil de estos materiales dañinos para el ambiente.

Fachada plástica reciclada.
Cartón reciclado.
Pinturas al frío.
Pinceles.
Marcador blanco.
Tijeras.
Pegamento.
🖼️ Para la elaboración del tapiz: hilos pabilos colores 🌈 azul, blanco, verde y rojo. Aguja de crochet de 2,25mm. Aguja lanera.

One of the habits I have had and kept is to give new uses to objects that no longer fulfill their original function. Such is the case of a very nice FAÇADE that I recycled ♻️ after the clock that came with it broke along with the glass. I have kept it for a few years and today it is time to give it a new use. In this way I contributed to the care and protection of the planet, prolonging the useful life of these environmentally harmful materials.

🖼️ For the elaboration of the tapestry: wick threads 🌈 blue, white, green and red. Crochet needle of 2,25mm. Wool needle.

PROCESO DE ELABORACIÓN:

🌍 Empecé tejiendo el tapiz. Les cuento que desde hace mucho quería tejerlo. Es muy bello. Como verán es la figura de nuestra hermosa 🌍 tierra 🌍. Para tejerla seguí la técnica TAPESTRY hasta lograr ver la forma deseada. Esta se inicia con una cadena de 27 puntos más uno para subir a la otra vuelta. Todo consiste en ir tejiendo e incorporando los colores de hilos necesarios para formar la figura. Te invito a que revises anteriores post en los que explico con detalles esta técnica.

🌍 I started weaving the tapestry. I tell you that for a long time I wanted to weave it. It is very beautiful. As you can see it is the figure of our beautiful 🌍 earth 🌍. To weave it I followed the TAPESTRY technique until I managed to see the desired shape. This starts with a chain of 27 stitches plus one to go up to the next round. Everything consists of knitting and incorporating the necessary yarn colors to form the figure. I invite you to review previous posts in which I explain this technique in detail.

🌍 El segundo paso fue preparar la base de cartón. Empecé midiendo y cortando el cartón de 22×24 cm. Luego apliqué una base de pintura color caramelo. Sin esperar que secara esta base apliqué brochazos de pintura color marrón. Luego que secó pinté con color negro apenas haciendo unas manchitas con el pincel en seco. Ya para finalizar marqué puntos de color blanco por todo el cartón. Dejé secar muy bien.

🌍 The second step was to prepare the cardboard base. I started by measuring and cutting the 22×24 cm cardboard. Then I applied a base of caramel colored paint. Without waiting for this base to dry I applied brush strokes of brown paint. After it dried I painted with black color just making some spots with the dry brush. Finally, I marked white dots all over the cardboard. I let it dry very well.

🌍 El tercer paso fue sacudir y limpiar la fachada reciclada. Para ello usé un paño limpio y seco. Luego presenté el cartón por la parte de atrás de la fachada, corregí las medidas, estaban perfectas y procedí a fijar con pegamento.

🌍 The third step was to shake and clean the recycled facade. For this I used a clean, dry cloth. Then I presented the cardboard on the back of the facade, corrected the measurements, they were perfect and proceeded to fix with glue.

🌍 Ya fijado el cartón en la fachada así se vio.

🌍 El tapiz tiene dos presentaciones; ambas muy parecidas. En una el corazón ❤️ se ve del lado derecho y en la otra del izquierdo.

The tapestry has two presentations; both very similar. In one the heart ❤️ is seen on the right side and in the other on the left.

🌍 El cuarto paso fue colocar el tapiz en medio del cartón dentro de la fachada. Para fijarlo coloqué un punto de pegamento en cada una de las esquinas del tapiz. La verdad es que estoy encantada con el resultado. Lastima que no tengo el cristal 😔 buscaré algo luego para protegerlo del polvo. ¿Qué les parece?

The fourth step was to place the tapestry in the middle of the cardboard inside the facade. To fix it I placed a dot of glue on each of the corners of the tapestry. The truth is that I am delighted with the result. Too bad I don't have the glass 😔 I will look for something later to protect it from dust. what do you think?
