Good day lovely friends how did your holiday go? Sure by now you are back from wherever you went to spend your holiday or are you still in the village hahaha! Me i couldn't travel this time guess what i was just enjoying myself in my city. My going to village might be so boring and lonely because my siblings non were in the village and our parents are no more 😭😭 so you know what it means staying lonely in the house one can even fall sick but when they are around you tell stories, eat together go out together infact so many things, despite been in the town i missed them so much and i believe God this year's festive season definitely we will be going.
As we all know, the month of December right from the first day is celebration all the way more especially in my country and i know other countries has their best way of celebrating. In my place from first week of December churches has started doing their end of the year Thanksgiving, this is a period each churches come together in their Church with heart of gratitude to God almighty for his love, for life mercy, protection and uncountable blessings starting from the month of January to December.
Considering how difficult things are in the country, we did not die of hunger, accident, sickness infact there are uncountable reasons why we should thank God. My church we did our Thanksgiving on the fifteenth December 2024 and it was awesome, we thanked God in groups and my group has their uniform just like every other group. And being what i know how to do i made my uniform and many others paid me to also make theirs which i will be giving you their tutorial here on needleworkMonday.
The materials i used was the Ankara fabric, open black net, lining, home made bra cup and others you can see in the picture, they all made the sewing easy and smooth
This is the front and back pattern
I used my already drafted pattern in the upper region of this dress, i love pattern drafting because it makes work easy and more fitted. I used my shoulder, armhole, burst point, burst span, under burst, burst and waist measurements were used for the drafting but free hand was used in the down part of the dress
The hip, and full length was used for cutting of the down part

This is the home made bra cup i was talking about, due to how costly the already made bra cup is right now in the market i decided to learn how to make this and am beginning to prefer it yhan the already made one because you cutt it using the exact measurements
Because this is a uniform we used in the church for Thanksgiving i still have tutorial on the ones i made for some of my group members and i will be presenting them next time
