Today I'm here again as I am every Monday to share with you another of my creations using fomi through a simple but very instructive tutorial. This time I want to show you how I made a decorated magnet in the shape of a cycling cow.
This decoration was made using 100% fomi and is intended to be placed on a metal surface, hence it is called decorated magnet. Although you can also choose to place a double contact tape on its back and thus make this decoration suitable for any type of surface. That is why I want to invite you to join me in the following tutorial. Let's get started!

Hoy estoy nuevamente por acá como cada lunes para compartirles otras de mis creaciones utilizando fomi a través de un tutorial simple pero muy instructivo. En esta ocasión quiero enseñarles cómo fue que confeccione un imán decorado con forma de vaca ciclista.
Esta decoración fue elaborada usando 100% fomi y está pensada para ser colocada sobre alguna superficie metálica, de ahí que se le llame imán decorado. Aunque también pueden optar por colocar en su reverso una cinta de doble contacto y así hacer que esta decoración sea apta para cualquier tipo de superficie. Es por ello que quiero invitarlos a acompañarme en el siguiente tutorial. ¡Comencemos!

Step by step // Paso a paso
1️⃣ I will start by marking each of the silhouettes that make up the ornament on a sheet of white paper. Then, using a pair of scissors, I will cut out each pattern, forming the templates that I will use as a guide.
Comenzaré marcando cada una de las siluetas que conforman el adorno en una hoja de papel blanco. Luego, utilizando unas tijeras, recortaré cada patrón, conformando las plantillas que utilizaré como guía.

2️⃣ With the paper templates I began to mark the shapes of the ornament on the fomi sheets. The first ones I marked and cut out were the parts corresponding to the bicycle and the basket on the front.
Con las plantillas de papel empecé a marcar las formas del adorno en las láminas de fomi. Las primeras que marqué y recorté fueron las partes correspondientes a la bicicleta y la cesta que lleva está al frente.

3️⃣ Next, I did the same with the other parts corresponding to the cow and including each part of its body, so I used not only plain white fomi, but also skin-colored fomi and carmelite fomi.
Seguidamente, hice lo mismo con las demás partes correspondientes a la vaca y que incluyen cada parte de su cuerpo, por lo que no solo utilicé fomi liso de color blanco, sino que también empleé fomi color piel y fomi carmelita.

4️⃣ Once I had all the fomi pieces cut out, I started gluing them together little by little to shape the ornament. I started again with the bicycle parts and, after gluing the black rims onto the white rims, I drew the spokes with a black pen and then attached the rubber bands to the frame. Next, I glued the strips of camelina fomi crisscrossed on top of the basket and then glued it to the front of the bike.
Una vez tuve todas las piezas de fomi recortadas, comencé a pegarlas poco a poco para dar forma al adorno. Empecé nuevamente por las partes de la bicicleta y, tras pegar los aros negros sobre las llantas blancas, dibujé los rayos con un bolígrafo negro y luego uní las gomas al cuadro. Seguidamente, pegué entrecruzadamente las tiras de fomi camelina encima de la cesta para luego pegarla en la parte delantera de la bicicleta.

5️⃣ With some metal cutting dies I cut out three yellow flowers in a staggered size and two thin bunches of elongated leaves. After painting the center of the flowers with an orange pen, I glued them on top of the basket, also gluing the leaves on the back of the flowers.
Con unos troqueles de corte metálicos recorté tres flores amarillas de tamaño escalonado y dos ramos finos de hojas alargadas. Luego de pintar el centro de las flores con un bolígrafo naranja, las pegué encima de la cesta, pegando también las hojas en el reverso de las flores.

6️⃣ Next I arrange the cow's body parts and with a black pen I draw the black spots on the body, limbs and head areas. After assembling the cow's body, I glue it on top of the bicycle.
A continuación acomodo las partes del cuerpo de la vaca y con un bolígrafo negro dibujo las manchas negras en las zonas del cuerpo, extremidades y cabeza. Luego de ensamblar el cuerpo de la vaca, la pego encima de la bicicleta.

7️⃣ To finish, I use a black pen to draw the cow's eyes, nose and mouth, and then on the back I glue a magnet so I can attach it to metal surfaces.
Para finalizar, utilizo un bolígrafo negro para dibujar los ojos, la nariz y la boca de la vaca, y luego en el reverso pego un imán para poder adherirla a superficies metálicas.
