DIY Keychain

Lately, I’ve been making lots of DIY crafts, and surprisingly, they don’t seem too difficult and I don’t need to overly prepare for them; I just start and enjoy the process.

It’s no news that you can get stuck at a point and spend a lot of time trying to figure out what to do next or how to do it. It’s also no news that in times like that you’d want to give up out of frustration, but I’m here to tell you that you can do it. As cliché as it sounds, you really can. You just need to go over the process again, find your mistakes, and do things differently.

Something similar to this happened while I was making this keychain. As much as I like this particular design, it was pretty hard to pull off at first, but I did it!

I love how the keychain turned out and I’m glad that I never gave up.

To make this keychain, I used the following materials and followed the steps below.

Materials
Foam sheet
Scissors
Glue
Ruler
Pencil

Procedure

Step 1:
I cut out two straps from the foam sheet and curved the edges.

Step 2:
I drew two straight lines in each of the straps.

Step 3:
Following the line, I created an opening.

Step 4:
I folded the two foam sheets and carefully wove them together. The weaving process was a bit challenging at first, but I scaled through.

Step 5:
I trimmed the excess, glued the edges, and added the keychain to it, and Voila! My keychain was ready!!
