Hello Diyhubbers, it’s another day to share my craft with you all and I’m excited!!!
Today I made a mini notebook. After two attempts, I got it right, and I can't believe I was on the brink of giving up.
If there is one thing I have learnt over the course of my DIY journey, it would be “creativity builds boldness.” Creative people are very bold, they go the extra mile to bring their imagination to life without holding back or shying away. They make mindblowing decisions and follow their heart to the very end. They know what they want and they don’t stop until they get it.
The more I delve into this amazing world of creativity, the harder I want to push myself. It is not always rosy but the result is always satisfying.
Enough of the long talk, I’ll walk you all through the creation process.
To make this mini notebook I used the following materials and followed the steps below.
Materials
Paper
Foam sheet
Gum
Scissors
Glue
Ruler
Procedure
Step 1:
I folded the paper twice in a vertical form. I did this neatly and smoothed the edges.
Step 2:
I opened the paper and folded it twice in a horizontal form.
Step 3:
I opened the folded paper and cut it in a zigzag pattern.
Step 4:
I followed the pattern of the paper and folded it in and out.
Step 5:
I cut an extra paper and attached it to the notebook, this is to help keep the pages intact.
Step 6:
I cut out the desired length of the foam sheet and glued it to the book.
Step 7
I made the straps of the notebook and glued them to the notebook.
Step 8:
I made some designs with the pink foam sheet and carefully glued them to the notebook. I put some finishing touches on the mini notebook and it was ready.
This is a simple craft and it can be done with our little ones. The result will blow their minds and they’d enjoy doing it over and over again.
