How To Cut And Sew A Simple Bubu Gown

in DIYHubyesterday

Hello great minds, I'm glad to be here again, okay today is about a bubu gown I maid for my aunt three hours to a program, very simple, classy and easy to make.

All that you needed to make this gown apart from your fabric are, lining, zip, aiming gum, tape, chalk scissor, tread, stone, lace design and your already made neck design.

First thing you have to,is to measure out your full length from the fabric, fold it by two and given to the other side an inch allowance for the zip, then you measure from the top down in eighteen inches, depends on how you want it, then you measure out the nine inches from the side, using your chalk and ruler to trace it down straight, you won't be able to see the tracing cause it's the normal chalk, this is a different one and it's called the tailor chalk

After cutting out, you also cut out your lining for it, then you proceed to fixed the lining for both side and iron it.
After ironing, you proceed to fixed the already made neck design for the front.
And this is the front

And for the back side you first join it given your space for the zip and for slit , and get an extra fabric and fold it in a plinting shape and iron it very well.

After you proceed to place it at the back side of the slit using ur pin or aiming gum to pin or gum it but I used aiming gum, then see both sides together and double press it at the middle in form of a triangle shape.

And this is the back, no one will knows it has a slit except when you're walking.

After that you proceed to join the shoulder part together and then fixed the lace design at the edge, after fixing that you proceed to join everything together and fix your zip, then proceed to fixed your stones, and in fixing the stones on this Ankara I didn't used a rag as it used to be cause this is a cotton fabric and I make sure my iron is on low heat.

And this is the bubu gown ready to wear.
