Happy new day to all my creative friends of Diyhub community. It isn't just an ordinary day buy a new month and we are privilege of been alive
Today is my country's independence day and unlike the other years this year feels so different. I wasn't really happy or looking forward to this day and it was as if the day came unannounced. Unlike the other years you are meant to see me blogging about an independent day project and probably a creation I must have made to mark the day but it skipped my mind and hopefully I will think of an idea later.
I desperately needed a bag at this time. A laptop bag is currently sold for $10 to get a quality one, even though I intend to get that later, I decided to find a quick solution to a desperate challenge.
There was a need for me to go out yesterday with my PC so that I can connect it to power supply in another street as we were out of power supply, that was when I realized that I don't have even the simplest bag i could use to carry my PC, the charger and other times I needed to power up.
I searched the entire house and couldn't find. These items are so delicate you won't wanna carry them in a disposable I didn't even get to see a neighbor that I can quickly borrow from, that was when I realized that I desperately needed a bag. Even if it's not an expensive one, I needed something that will be useful for the moment.
Seeing that a lot of ladies make use of tote bags these day I decided sew a tote bag for myself using fabrics.
Having search the house and couldn't find a thick and strong fabric the idea of recycling an abandoned jean pant set in.
I brought out the jean and cut it in several pieces trying to find some useful part without much disfiguring stitched that will make perfect size for my PC
After getting several quality pieces as the Jean was fading and I had to cut some part to be through away
To embellish this and make attractive I got a piece of colorful fabric cut out a length part and pleated it round the edges of the bag
I got another pieces, stitched it's edges and attached it to the front piece of the bag
Next I sewed a strip and used it to pull the strip into a gathers to form a beautiful bow like appearance
I got another pieces and used it to stitch a hand to the bag and just like that I got a beautiful and colorful and useful tote bag.
There is the bag with laptop inside.
This is absolutely useful and fashionable until when I can purchase a stronger leather bag

I love it! It turned out so cute 😍 There’s nothing like making something so cute yourself, not to mention you were able to put those jeans to good use. Long live recycling! You reminded me that I also need to make a bag for my laptop haha luckily I don’t have to move it out of the house, but I always keep it in its box and a bag would be nice instead 😌 Thanks for sharing your beautiful project! 😘💚
