Mis saludos para todos ustedes amigos de diyhub,me alegra estar de nuevo aquí para continuar con el tema del momento,#diytropical,y en esta oportunidad les voy a mostrar como utilice una concha marina para hacer una vela,es algo más que todo una idea decorativa, también quise probar y ver como quedaría esta vela ,ya que quiero recalcar que es la primera vez que hago una y no sabía si iba a quedar bien,pero si salió muy bien,y puedo decir que ya aprendí a como hacer velas. Por otro lado usare los pedazos de velas que ya fueron utilizadas y como quedan un poco de ellas entonces también junte los pedazos que quedan y esa será una nueva vela,vamos manos a la obra.

On the other hand, I will use the pieces of candles that have already been used and since there are a few left, I also put together the remaining pieces and that will be a new candle, let's get to work.

• Paso 1

Como tenía varios pedazos de velas desechadas,las junte todas y las fui colocando en un envase de vidrio,para luego colocar ese envase en una olla con agua,para que así se empiece a derretir la vela a baño maría,este paso lleva un tiempo de al menos unos 5 minutos para que empiece derretir la vela.

Since I had several pieces of discarded candles, I gathered them all and placed them in a glass container, then placed that container in a pot with water, so that the candle begins to melt in a double boiler. This step takes at least 5 minutes for the candle to begin to melt.

• Paso 2

Mientras que esperaba a que se derritiera la vela,pase a pintar un poco concha con sombra para ojos de color azul,la pintura normal sirve también pero no tengo del color azul,y pensé en que si coloco sombra para ojos que pinta bien entonces también debe pintar otras cosas también, mínimo un poco de color.

• Paso 2

While I was waiting for the candle to melt, I went on to paint a little bit of shell with blue eyeshadow. Regular paint works too, but I don't have any blue, and I thought that if I put on eyeshadow that looks good, then it should also paint other things too, at least a little bit of color.

Después de un rato los pedazos de vela estaban derretidos,y también le coloque sombra de color azul,y con la ayuda de un paño fui colocando la mezcla en la concha marina.

After a while the pieces of candle were melted, and I also put blue eyeshadow on it, and with the help of a cloth I placed the mixture on the seashell.

Después de agregar la mezcla le coloque el hilo que tienen las velas, tratando de que quedará en el centro, también le coloque antes de que se enfríe la mezcla unas perlas como decoración.

After adding the mixture, I placed the thread that the candles have, trying to keep it in the center. I also placed some pearls as decoration before the mixture cooled.

Luego pase a colocarle las piedras de imitación y también le coloque un poco de polvo de sombras marrón de un lado para disimular la arena de playa.

Then I moved on to adding the rhinestones and also added a little brown eyeshadow powder on one side to hide the beach sand.

Por último deje que secará bien y se enfriará la cera,está concha marina la traje del viaje que hice a la playa hace ya una semana,durante el tiempo que estuve en la playa no conseguí muchas conchas marinas,pero de último momento conseguí una en la arena y la ví y lo primero que se me vino a la mente fue hacer esta linda vela.
