Hola bienvenid@s a un nuevo Blog.
Hello, welcome to a new blog.
Greetings to all of you friends of diyhub, I'm glad to be back here to continue with the topic of the moment, #diytropical, and this time I'm going to show you how I used a seashell to make a candle, it's more than anything a decorative idea, I also wanted to try and see how this candle would turn out, since I want to emphasize that it's the first time I make one and I didn't know if it was going to turn out well, but it turned out very well, and I can say that I already learned how to make candles. On the other hand, I will use the pieces of candles that have already been used and since there are a few left, I also put together the remaining pieces and that will be a new candle, let's get to work.

(Materiales:)||(Materials:)
- Pedazos de velas
- Una concha marina
- Un envase de vidrio
- Piedras y perlas de imitación para decorar
- Sombra de ojos color azul y marrón
- Candle pieces
- A seashell
- A glass container
- Imitation stones and pearls for decoration
- Blue and brown eyeshadow
(Procedimiento:)||(Procedure:)

Paso 1
Paso 1
Since I had several pieces of discarded candles, I gathered them all and placed them in a glass container, then placed that container in a pot with water, so that the candle begins to melt in a double boiler. This step takes at least 5 minutes for the candle to begin to melt.

Paso 2
Paso 2
While I was waiting for the candle to melt, I went on to paint a little bit of shell with blue eyeshadow. Regular paint works too, but I don't have any blue, and I thought that if I put on eyeshadow that looks good, then it should also paint other things too, at least a little bit of color.
Paso 3
Paso 3
After a while the pieces of candle were melted, and I also put blue eyeshadow on it, and with the help of a cloth I placed the mixture on the seashell.

Paso 4
Paso 4
After adding the mixture, I placed the thread that the candles have, trying to keep it in the center. I also placed some pearls as decoration before the mixture cooled.

Paso 5
Paso 5
Then I moved on to adding the rhinestones and also added a little brown eyeshadow powder on one side to hide the beach sand.
(Resultado final:)||(Bottom line:)
Finally, let it dry well and the wax cool. I brought this seashell back from a trip I made to the beach a week ago. During the time I was at the beach I didn't find many seashells, but at the last minute I found one on the sand and saw it and the first thing that came to my mind was to make this cute candle. I thank you all for joining me today, and also if you haven't participated in this creative tropical idea I encourage you to participate and also show your creativity in the diyhub community. I await your comments to know if you liked this idea, bye until next time.

My personality is based on different ways of expressing my creativity, conquering several new facets in which I learn how to express myself. During my time here, I have shared several of my activities as a craftswoman, drawer, jewelry maker, cook, and sewer, gaining more experiences for my time to have my art studio. I also want to continue learning more ways to continue expressing myself.
