Welcome to a new presentation where I'll be making a small and simple craft. This time, I'm doing it to help my nephew with an assignment he received in one of his school classes. The assignment was to create a geometric figure, and I thought I'd make him one using easy-to-find materials I had on hand. He'd already tried to make it on his own about three times without success, and sometimes we need a little help to achieve our goals. It's worth mentioning that he was helping me the whole time.
You'll probably recognize this inspiration, not so much by its name, but by its shape. I decided to make him an "Icosahedron," which is a regular polyhedron with 20 faces, all of them triangles. It's a geometric figure that has a practical application as a 20-sided die in board games, mostly role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. The shape and properties of the icosahedron make it an interesting object for studying geometric relationships and for creating diverse shapes.

Bienvenidos a una nueva presentación donde estaré realizando una pequeña y sencilla manualidad esta vez para ayudar a mi sobrinito con una asignación que le mandaron en una de sus clases de la escuela la cual es la realización de alguna figura geométrica y se me ocurrió realizarle con materiales fáciles que tenía a la mano uno que él ya había intentado por su cuenta como en 3 ocasiones y no le salía y de vez en cuando necesitamos una pequeña ayuda externa para lograr los objetivos, cabe aclarar que en todo momento estuvo ayudándome.
Seguro reconocerán esta inspiración no tanto por su nombre, pero si por su forma, yo decidí realizarle un "Icosaedro" el cual es un poliedro regular con 20 caras todas ellas triángulos es una figura geométrica que tiene una aplicación práctica como dado de 20 caras en juegos de mesa, mayormente juegos de rol como calabozos y dragones, la forma y propiedades del icosaedro lo convierten en un objeto interesante para estudiar las relaciones geométricas y para crear formas diversas.

We begin to trace the shape on the guide template with a ruler and pencil. In my case, I didn't use any specific measurements, but this last point is important; perhaps I was just lucky that everything fit together in the end. Then, we mark everything with a black marker to guide us better. It is very important to leave the side folds to join everything.
Comenzamos a trazar la forma que está en la plantilla guía con una regla y lápiz en mi caso no use ninguna medida en específico, pero es importante esto último quizás solo tuve suerte que todo encajara al final, para luego marcarlo todo con un marcador negro y poder guiarnos mejor, es muy importante dejar los pliegues laterales para unir todo.

For the assembly process, I decided to do it live on TikTok and show you a bit of the assembly and coloring process because the most important part is drawing it; after that, it's just a matter of gluing and coloring. For an extra touch, I used white glue to add shine and make it look nicer. The beard I'm wearing is a filter from the platform itself, and I had a lot of fun with the people who came and chatted with me. The downside is that I couldn't take pictures because the live stream kept closing, and it also doesn't let me show the entire process, only parts of it.
Para el momento del armado decidí hacerlo en LIVE de tiktok y mostrarles un poco los momentos del armado y coloreado del mismo porque lo más importante de esto es el dibujarlo, luego de eso solo queda pegar y colorear, y para un extra use pegamento blanco para darle brillo a todo y que quede más bonito, la barba con la que salgo es un filtro de la misma plataforma y me divertí mucho con las personas que llegaban y conversaban conmigo aunque la desventaja de esto es que no pude tomar fotos porque se cerraba el LIVE y tampoco me deja mostrar el proceso completo solo por partes.
