The exact moment I finished this bracelet, I knew it would be one of my favorites.
I like creating accessories, and it's very gratifying when my daughters argue over whose it would be, but this bracelet in particular, I said it was for me because I don't like wearing so many accessories. I prefer to use one that I see as more prominent or stands out on its own, and this design achieves that.
I made it with beige or very light nude Chinese thread and 20 gold-plated beads. The technique was macramé, with two knots: the flat knot and the Eloise knot, which allowed me to start with two central and two side threads and play around with the design. In the end, it's a piece where the gold shines, the macramé weave is evident, and everything breathes or flows, so that the leather also blends into the weave. Today I present this DIY HUB... El momento exacto en que terminé esta Pulsera, supe que sería una de mis favoritas.
Me gusta crear accesorios y es muy gratificante cuando mis hijas se disputan de quien será, pero ésta pulsera en especial, decía que era para mí, porque no me gusta usar tantos accesorios, me gusta más usar alguno que vea que tiene más presencia o destaque por sí solo, y este diseño lo logra.
La realicé con hilo chino de color beige o nude, muy claro; y con 20 balines dorados. La técnica fue Macramé, con dos nudos: el nudo plano y el nudo eloise, que me permitieron empezar con dos hilos centrales y dos laterales, e ir jugando con su el diseño. Al final es una pieza donde luce el dorado, se aprecia el tejido de Macramé y todo respira o fluje, de manera que la piel también se integre entre el tejido. Hoy se las presento esto DIY HUB... - Chinese thread: 2 pieces of 50 cm and 1 of 180 cm
- 20 gold-plated pellets
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Tinderbox

- I took the two 50cm pieces of Chinese thread and threaded a gold ball through them. I knotted that end, then left 7cm free. From there, I mounted it on the Bracelet Making Base, where I can attach it with snap clips from one end to the other. These two threads, the shortest of the three, will be the center threads of the bracelet.
All set... Let's start CREATING.
- Tomé las dos piezas de hilo chino de 50cms y pasé un balín dorado, anudé esa punta y luego ese extremo dejé 7cms libres y a partir de ahí fue que lo monté en la Base para hacer pulseras, donde puedo sujetar con clips de presión de un extremo a otro. Estos dos hilos que son los más cortes de los 3, serán los hilos centrales de la pulsera.
Todo preparado... Vamos a empezar a CREAR
- I pass the longest Chinese thread, the one that measures 180 cm, under the center threads, placing its middle at that point. There I begin to tie the flat knot.
1- (Gif 1): I make a loop with one end and bring it to the opposite side. I pass the other end: OVER the other thread that was passed to that side, UNDER the center thread, and INSIDE the loop that had been formed initially.
2- (Gif 2): I do everything the same as in step 1, but with the other ends.
This way, beautiful flat knots are formed, as you can see in the image. I do this until I have 3 complete flat knots (right and left).
- El hilo chino más largo, el que mide 180cms, lo paso por debajo de los hilos centrales, ubicando su mitad en ese punto. Ahí comienzo a realizar el nudo plano.
1- (Gif 1): Hago una curva con uno de los extremos y lo llevo al lado contrario. El otro extremo lo paso: POR ENCIMA del otro hilo que se pasó a ese lado, POR DEBAJO del central y POR DENTRO de la curva que se había formado primero.
2- (Gif 2): Hago todo igual que en el paso 1, pero con el otro extremos.
De esta forma se van formando bellos nudos planos como puedes ver en la Imagen. Esto lo hago hasta tener 3 nudos planos completos (derecho e izquierdo).
Now we have the four threads we'll be working with in this design clearly established: the two center threads and the knotters at the ends.
With the right center thread and the right knotter, I make six Eloise knots. This is the same technique as the flat knot, but with a single knotted thread doing all the work. Then, I repeat the same six Eloise knots with the left center thread and the left knotter.
Again, I'll have all four threads. I always need to know which are the center threads, which are the shortest, and the knotters, which are the longest.
Ahora tenemos bien establecidos los 4 hilos con los que estaremos trabajando este diseño: los dos centrales, y los anudadores en los extremos.
Con el central derecho y el anudador derecho realizo seis nudos Eloise, que se trata de la misma técnica del nudo plano, pero con un solo hilo anudados haciendo todo el trabajo. Luego, repito con el hilo central izquierdo y el anudador izquierdo los mismos seis nudos Eloise.
Nuevamente, voy a tener los 4 hilos. Siempre debo saber cuales son los centrales, que son los más cortos, y los anudadores los más largo.
I pass a golden ball through the two center threads, but each thread will pass through a different side of the ball, meaning in opposite directions. And I raise the ball to the top.
When it's at the top, I take the right center thread and the right knotter and pass a ball through them, but these will pass through the ball in the same direction, together. And I raise the ball to the top.
I do the same with the left center thread and the left knotter. At the end of this process, I will have all three balls positioned.
Por los dos hilos centrales paso un balín dorado, pero cada hilo pasará por un lado diferente del balín, es decir en sentido contrario cada uno. Y subo el balín hasta arriba.
Cuando esté arriba, tomo el central derecho y el anudador derecho y paso un balín por ellos, pero esta estos si van a pasar a través del balín en el mismo sentido, juntos. Y subo el balín hasta arriba.
Hago lo mismo con el central izquierdo y el anudador izquierdo. Al final de este proceso tendré los 3 balines posicionados.
From now on, I'll repeat:
🔔 The six Eloise knots on each side.
🔔 I take the center threads and raise a ball.
🔔 I take the right center thread and the right knotting thread and pass the ball.
🔔 I take the left center thread and the left knotting thread and pass the ball.
De aquí en adelante repetiré:
🔔 Los seis nudos Eloise de cada lado.
🔔 Tomo los hilos centrales y subo un balín.
🔔 Tomo hilo central derecho e hilo anudador derecho y paso balín.
🔔 Tomo hilo central izquierdo e hilo anudador izquierdo y paso balín.
I'll repeat the same sequence until I've looped the golden ball trio six times, which will be approximately 13 or 14 cm of fabric needed for the bracelet.
It's worth noting that, for the last trio of balls, I reversed their position so they were the same as the beginning, with one ball last.
I then tied the last Eloise knots, and again the flat knots from the beginning, so everything would be the same.
Haré la misma secuencia hasta haber subido 6 veces los tríos de balines dorados, que será más o menos 13 o 14cms de tejido que se necesitan para la pulsera.
Cabe señalar que, para el último trío de balines, invertí su posición para que quedaran igual que al principio, es decir con un balín de último.
Hice luego los últimos nudos Eloise, y nuevamente los nudos planos de al principio, para que todo quede igual.
I cut the remaining knotting threads and burned the ends with a lighter.
I cut the center threads to match the original, inserted a pellet, and knotted them so they were even.
Lo que me quedaba de los hilos anudadores los corté y quemé puntas con yesquero.
Los hilos centrales los corté para que quedaran igual que al principio, introduje un balín y anudé para que queden iguales.
All that was left was to make the clasp. I used my two small snap clips, which I keep in the bracelet making base, but you could also use two pieces of adhesive tape.
With another piece of Chinese thread, I tied five flat knots, cut off the excess, and burned the ends.
Solo faltaba hacer el cierre. Yo utilizo mis dos clips de presión pequeños, que tengo en la Base para hacer pulseras, pero igual se puede utilizar dos trocitos de cinta adhesiva.
Con otro pedazo de hilo chino, realicé 5 nudos planos, corté excedente y quemé puntas.
Once this design is complete, all you have to do is use flat knots and Eloise knots, pay attention to the design pattern, and make this bracelet while listening to music, watching a TV show, or watching a movie.
Notice how the design breathes, creates movement, and is striking to our eyes. The weave looks very clean, and it was very easy to create.
Listo este diseño, fueron solo utilizar nudos planos y nudos Eloise, prestar atención al patrón del diseño, y mientras escuchar música, ves una serie o película, puedes hacer esta pulsera.
Fíjate que el diseño respira, crea un movimiento, es algo llamativo a nuestros ojos. El tejidos se ve muy limpio, y fue muy fácil de crear.
