Do it yourself or diyhub is a great community for artists. I have been watching this community for a long time and the people in it have made so many unique things. I was also really keen to make something for this community and then this community launched a contest in June which was on recycling. They want to see our most brilliant diys made from recycled, repurposed or up cycled materials. Weather its something functional, decorative or both. I have seen this storage drawer on the Pinterest. And I liked it so much that I thought I would make it. But I also made some changes to it according to my taste, like adding decorative tape on the edges, etc. I hope you like this diy of mine.
Here is the materials needed for making this diy.
▪ waste cardboard
▪ scissors
▪ scale
▪ simple tape
▪ decorative tape
▪ Glue gun and glue stick
▪ A4 papers
▪ Lead pencil
▪ 2 pearls
▪ And colors or anything you want to save in it.
Step by step tutorial:
First of all cut 4 pieces of cardboard of the same sizeth the help of tape and scale. The size of these pieces should be same and equal so that it can easily glued together.
Now I connect 2 pieces of cardboard together and secured it with the tape. So that they can not misplaced or moved.
With the same procedure I glued the other 2 pieces as well and connect all of them with the tape.
Now I glued the blue paper on both sides of the cardboard pieces with the help of glue gun.
On the other side paste the paper as well and fold it on the area where we apply tape on it.

Now I cut 4 triangles of the same size and measurements. The size of all the shapes are really matter so I male sure I measure the size equally.
Now I cover the triangles with the blue paper as well and cut the extra sides of the paper with the help of scissor.
Now I glued these triangles with the other pieces of cardboard like that:
And now I glued the pearls with the thread to open and close easily.
Now I add the decorative tape on the edges of the box. And its done.
All the images are taken by me. Now all my colors stuff are easy to find and I love it. I hope you will like it l.
