10 hours!
That freaking hours just working on this, oh my poor eyes, my beloved fingers!, lol
I'm glad those are still intact after such a long period on my screen working on this pheww. It's been such a long time I spent that number of hours working on anything, like straight hours with no intermittent breaks in-between, it was crazy, I started experiencing some dizziness and few other effects so I had to stop, and yes of course grab something to eat lol.

Hello there everyone, happy new month to you all, so I'm excited to come around this community and I have carefully read the updated rules and requirements, I am not sure if 3D printing can accommodate 3D modelling too, I am not printing this, just working and modelling it on my mobile, I hope it is accepted too.
So here is a 3D model of SpongeBob SquarePants, I bet a handful of kids are aware of this cartoon, kid seems to enjoy watching silly little and funny SpongeBob and till date if you ask some of the grownups of their favourite TV series or cartoon, they will mention SpongeBob Cartoon I was really surprised that some adults still liked that cartoon as well.
So for today I modelled this cartoon icon and character; SpongeBob. It was just a long day for me cause I literally spent all my day working on it. I will share my work process with you guys, though it might not be very practical to explain in words but I will try my best

So what I needed to achieve this was just my mobile device, a reference image for my modelling, my fingers (😄), and my eyes lol, oh I needed food too but I didn't even remember to take that early enough until the worms in my stomach started crying and screaming for help phew.
So I started this modelling with three (3) square boxes or shapes if you want to put it that way. Then I went ahead to extrude those boxes, resize them into the desired shape and sizes to give me the upper and lower body region which is also its dress. After which I went ahead to use a cylinder, resized and extruded it for the other parts of the body like the arms, hands, legs, socks, shoes etc. I used circles to create the eye balls and other circular regions in the model.
This took a lot of thinking, and re-strategizing to understand how some parts and features had to appear and be structured. I finished this piece up with texture, vertex and material colouring like you've seen in my steps.
Go ahead and let me know what you think of my 3D model of SpongeBob, thank you.
