Hello wonderful friends,

It been a while and I want to say that I'm so sorry for the long silence and this was not intentional as I was on a course and I am glad I am done now to focus on sharing some amazing healthy drinks with you all.

I remember in my first post here in this community I had promised to be sharing some tested and proven healthy drinks that will be helpful to some individuals going through some health challenges
And today I will be sharing with you the wonders of potatoes leaves in which the botanical name is called (Solanum
tuberosum ) it looks common but yet very powerful before I proceed I will be taking you through some health benefits of potatoes leaves juice.

Health benefits of potatoes leaves juice

  • The intake of potatoes leaves juice will help boost your immune system

  • It helps in the promotion of healthy digestion

  • It helps to reduces cholesterol in the human body

  • Potatoes leaves juice helps in the regulation of blood sugar

  • a healthy cardiovascular system is promoted

  • Help in the reduction of inflammation

  • helps in eye defect

Method of preparation

  • Wash the leaves with clean water to do away with sand

  • Shrade the leaves into pieces using a manual grader

  • Put the shraded leaves in a pot and add desired quantity of water then boil for 5 minutes

  • After 5 minutes turn off your flame and sieve into a bowl

  • Allow to cool and the pour into a glass and then drink.

Welcome to the community. Interesting drink you present. Could you please include the scientific name of this plant? We are not sure if it is the potato that we generally eat the tuber of or if it is some variety of this. Thank you.

I had indicated the scientific name as Solanum tuberosum

Potato leaves have a high content of solanine, which is a very toxic alkaloid and can cause poisoning in people. You must indicate this in your post, since the consumption of potato leaves, and even potatoes with green rind, can pose a health risk.
