This kind of topic needs critical thinking before coming out with a decision.
First, it is obvious that the kidney is a vital organ in the body. This was why senator Ike Ekweremmadu's daughter was making a public appeal for a kidney donor to save her life.
In my own perception, I think that kidneys shouldn't be sold or bought, instead, there should be a platform for willing kidney donors and acceptors.
And such donors should be compensated and taken care by the government.
If a kidney is been sold and bought, don't you think that the cost will be very expensive?

This is a very controversial issue since if it becomes legal, supply and demand will begin, causing the black market to do its thing.
Now, modern medicine just needs to make an organ manufactured in a laboratory with stem cells work, meanwhile, we will continue to see that many are saved because of voluntary donors or donors who did not know they were donors before they died... or still alive.
For example, in Iran, the only country where it is legal to sell a kidney, it costs $4,600; Undoubtedly, the cost will be higher when this organ is acquired by illegal means and the donor does so voluntarily or not.

I agree to what @churchman said that I platform be created by the government for volunteering donors. If many countries should legalize organ trading I think it erupt to a very dangerous issue.

Organ sales are legal in Iran. I think it is a way of surviving the most dispossessed.

Yes, it is possible. The regulation makes it difficult for such organizations to expand and operate so the black market thrives off the international demand.
