About eight months ago, a pandemic known as the coronavirus, aka covid 19 struck the entire world and since then has made everything spanning from businesses, economies of both developed and developing countries, life and health deteriorated and hence has shifted everything from normalcy to abnormality.
Ghana, a developing country was not spared by the coronavirus and for that matter got its share of the national cake of the pandemic. Ghana recovered its first case of the deadly pandemic in March and has since risen to the thousands.
Just like other countries, the president of the republic of Ghana announced a seven day lock down of places where the recordings were high. This seven day continued until it got to three weeks.
After the lock down, the World Health Organization instituted protocols to prevent the pandemic from spreading fast so as to find measures to deal with the coronavirus.
This saw a ban on all social gatherings which included schools, mosques, churches etc. The ban was later lifted after some time but with certain limited access to these gatherings such as the number of persons and time allotted to a particular gathering like funerals, religious gatherings etc.
Finally, in his usual address to the nation, the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has almost lifted all these restrictions and has made everything come back to normal as if everything is alright.
The question now is "is the easing of these restrictions a blessing or a curse to the people"
