I hope you all are doing great. Without any long intro let me take you straight to the topic I pick.
Writing a story is simple but writing a good one is pretty difficult. It requires a bunch of things. But today, I'm not going to discuss them all. It is not possible doing it simply as that. I think you get my point
However, what I want to talk about is the time that I prefer or enjoy writing. The ongoing little big project of @sarashew and @whileatwiltshire made me pick up pen and try to share my viewpoint. Yes, it’s my entry for #homonyms week-3!
Many writers and critics think that time has nothing to do with artistic production rather it depends on writer's skills, stress level, imagination power and most importantly language skills. Yes, they must've some strong point. But I personally think that if a writer has all the qualities mentioned earlier which are of course much needed facts; but the time can play a vital role supporting the writer with a preferable ambience and a concentration helper.
Therefore, many prefer writing early in the morning, late at night, at sweet afternoons. It totally depends upon the writer’s mindset and will. I enjoy writing in a calm and quite ambience when no trivial affairs could affect my thought process. So, I choose late night slots, pick up my pen and paper or notebook. I enjoy having a cup of coffee before diving into the plot entirely whatever I'm trying to tell with my words.
Sometimes, words do not come as vivid as I imagine the story or the poem or else should bring forth. Usually I take short pause while writing. But, luck do works! And I get amazed to see how the words comes so easily and portrays my view point. The problem is it do no occur frequently. That's the struggling fact I'm telling.
Late nights are the time which gives the much needed calmness and noise free ambience; that are the most essential thing for me to give motivation and make me feel the facts more deeply. Whenever I tried to write something in another time I couldn’t give full concentration.
This reminds me of a story. We all know S T Coleridge; he is famous for his poems and of course one of the pioners of romanticism. On those days, opium addiction was creating disadvantage on one side and continues interruptions are making him nuts on the other. But he is a poet of great virtue.
One morning when he woke up, he realized that he dreamt a dream that was so vivid; and he got the feelings that he should write about it. He starts his writing and the verses were pooping in his head like a big school of fishes. He continues. Suddenly, he heard the doorbell. He just stand up and go for the door; immediately came back in the table. Unfortunately, he lost the rest of it.
This is what I was talking about; interruptions! Which can bring this kind of hazard for the writers. Do you want to know what Coleridge was writing. It was the unique creation; a poem namely 'Kubla Khan'. He wrote that if he could write the full poem he could make us feel what he has dreamt.
However, you can still find the very well written 54 amazing lines of the poem. Coleridge once mentioned that he could write a thousand line if no-one knocked his door that day!
Yeah! That's my point. Time sometimes play a vital role especially when it has to do with artistic compositions like novel, drama, poems, art etcetera.
So, friends that's my opinion on my preference of choosing the time to write. Thank you for reading it entirely. Hope we talk soon.

I relate to this soo so bad!!! And interruptions!! Those are such a pain!! I also tend to write when it's all quiet and peaceful around me, because noise and other affairs really do ruin the mood and the flow which I work with.
To me writing is like prayer. You gotta be completely emerged in it. If the trance breaks, words gets lost along with you.

That was a damn good read sir! Now I am feeling annoyed with the person who ringed that doorbell I also can relate to this interruption things, that's why most of the time I writes in hidden places.
