Time is what a clock reads
It is now 30 minutes 29 seconds past five in the afternoon. A few more seconds passed while actually writing the above line. So there is no such thing exist which we can call as ‘Present’, everything is past or future. The matter comes across a bit hypothetical but it is plausible by the definition of time. Either we are witnesses of the past or travelers on the path to the dubious future. Then does the present not exist anywhere? But it may exist for me and many like me; that is the world of fantasy. Imagination may not be tangible but it can be enjoyed and concocted according to one's own wishes where there is no such thing as sorrow; rather, everything is vivid and happy. So each person’s own imagination is therefore present for him. Every human being has a cherished desire in some corner of his mind. One feels pleasure to think about it every night just before sleep. Whenever he thinks about it, until getting that fictitious object, it is present for him, it could take 20 years or until the day before his death. And as soon as he can make his fiction a reality, that moment is the past for him.
Sitting on my balcony in the foggy surroundings, sipping a mug of smoked hot coffee, I plunged into the river of my thoughts which is all time present for me. Today is January 21, 2021. The subject of my thoughts is the ‘Travel to my world of fantasy’ which is very much similar to my own village home. For quite some time I didn’t enter into that house. Several layers of dust have amassed in the door lock and it was looking very rusty. It is a two-story cottage made of wood. The first room across the balcony is quite tidy where my parents used to live. As soon as I entered the room, I could feel a beautiful smell that I felt when my mother hugged me as a child. Suddenly I looked up and saw a photo frame of my parents on the wall, a picture of their golden time. As soon as I looked at my father's picture, I smiled a little. Most of the youngsters in their time probably had the same hairstyle as Uttam Kumar, my father was no exception. Probably no one got as much popularity as Uttam Kumar in Bangladesh and Kolkata at that time. The picture of my grandmother is also placed next to them. She was the person in my life who was the only rescuer of all my unjust whims.
The first cabin I entered as I climbed the wooden stairs to the first floor is the room of my two sisters. Surprisingly, at that time I never saw the two of them contending with each other. It seemed like they were probably one soul. But today they are so busy with their families and children that even if they want to, they can not manage their time to meet more than once or twice a year.
Then the space I entered was my own room. I looked at the front wall and saw my own handwritten name jotted down there. This is exactly how the name was spelled ‘THEPO’, which could be called the whimsy of childhood. As a memento, my parents still put the toys of my childhood on my reading table. An unknown oscillation worked inside the body to touch the toys. I quickly removed myself because I have no chance to go past!
When I came down from the first floor and entered the backyard, suddenly the mixed smell of Kamini and Hasnahena fascinated me. I personally find it a little difficult to differentiate the fragrance of these two flowers, but the combined aroma gave a strangely beautiful feeling. Moving a little further from the house, I saw a huge paddy fields on the horizon. It is as if nature has poured all its greenery on these small plants. Seeing so much beauty, my eyes closed in comfort. My fantasy was interrupted when my son called me from behind and said, "Come on, father, I will rise above you, it’s the time to play horse game!." I opened my eyes and looked out of the balcony and saw that the fog had become thicker and the evening was almost over.
I get up every morning and perform some necessary work like- responding to nature's call, taking breakfast, going to the office, spending a hectic day and finally go to bed. This is nothing special in a day rather a routine job. So whenever I have leisure, I try to give myself time to enter the world of my fantasy because this is the only time when my dopamine is released and it is very important for a person to have happy hormones released from his brain to be happy.

Having time to enter your fantasy world must feel great. I have never really did gone into mine mostly because I lack quite a lot of sleep and I get myself very pretty occupied during the day.
I can also relate to your routine job. I have been doing almost the same thing everyday as well just that, my job isn't entirely routine because I do field work and not a office job. Though I have been so used to it that it is not special to me after all even though I may visit 5 places in a day.

That’s true and same to me. Doing 9-5 job is really challenging. Besides this you have to spare time for the family. However, this is life and we have to accept it. Thanks for your kind words friend. Have a great day.

Most of us doing the same, but dream while sleeping is not for me. Being sick I had the time to get into some mystery or fantasy but the pain deprives that.
