I stand at the end of my student life. My internship will start from 27th November. Job life will start after two months of this intern. So with the start of working life I visited the Alliance knit Composite Factory located in Savar to get an idea of the industry environment.
This industry is located about 10 km from our university campus. Yesterday me and my friend left for Industry. A familiar brother of our university works there. We go there only on his invitation.
In that day we obtained a opportunity to explore the entire industry. We got a good idea about new machines and working place.
Being a composite mill, all the textiles are processed here. From yarn production to final garment production. Later the manufactured products are exported abroad. The major buyers of this industry are those and H&M.
[Machines using for dyeing]
This is the dyeing section of the industry. Here mainly the fabric is dyed. Along with fabric dyeing, yarn is also dyed here. All steps of wet processing are followed here. First the gray fabric has to be scoured & bleached. The last variety of dyeing is done at high temperature.
[Knitting Machine]
It is the fabrication section of the industry. Generally, industries manufacture two types of fabrics, woven and knitted. But only knit fabric is made there. Single and double jersey fabric is produced by needle and sinker mechanism. Later they are sent for other steps.
